ㅤㅤ٠࣪⭑things have been crazy lately and i feel like i don't have time to even breathe. in order to remind myself of my own humanity i'm going to document some of the things that have been on the brain lately so i don't get too lost in the sauce and remember that i do, in fact, still do things 𖹭 i wrote almost all of this during stand downs at work yippee. ㅤㅤ𝟷. 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒆𝒕 🍃 ㅤ ٠ new game new game new game !!!!! one of my favorite people on the planet reccomended wwm to me and i finally got to play it last thursday. the graphics are so crazy on this game, i feel like i finally got to put my 2.5 thousand dollar pc to real use for once. i'm not too sure what the story of this game is even after playing it for 7+ hours ngl 😭 but it's still so fun and definitely gonna be my new addiction once these 60 hour work weeks are done. ㅤㅤ𝟸. 𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒂 𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆.. ㅤ ٠ i both loved and hated discovering haisuinonasa. their music is so insane, but.. they haven't released anything since 2015 🥀 i had to go on a major deep dive to find the individual members' other projects. ㅤㅤthe vocalist, ai kamano, has a solo career (last release 1yr ago) and is also apart of a band called österreich (last release 2022 and she isn't a vocalist on a lot of their songs). the issue here is that with österreich, this was a band started by someone who came from Another band with a similar sound called the cabs that is inactive as well. current count for new discographies to look into is at 3 🫡 ㅤㅤapparently the producer, yoshimasa terui, is the producer for the jujutsu kaisen anime which was wild to discover and they also produce for sora tob takana (currently inactive) as well. they're also apart of a Different band called siraph which i am going to need to deep dive on their discography as soon as possible, every song i listened to was so good and the band is still actually active as in we have 2025 releases.. ㅤㅤso in the end, discovering haisuinonasa led me to discovering one...two....six new bands/artists 🫡 and while i'm grateful for all the new music i get to enjoy i'm honestly still bittersweet on haisuinonasa no longer being active. there's something so special there and it makes me sad there won't be more 🥀 but i will treasure the songs that there are, please go listen to their ep 'about town'. ㅤㅤ𝟹. 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒔 🌅 ㅤ ٠ more music because yeah! but i need, possibly more than anything i've ever needed in my entire life, for the artist behind morning movies to be found. i got a god tier reccomended video from youtube and it was for the linked video entitled 'unknown artist - morning movies' by youtube channel üllar siir which i will now be frequenting often. this song sounds like sunshine in its purest, rawest form. i feel like i'm being hugged by the vocals and the instrumental is gently patting my head, telling me i did good ❤️‍🩹 and there's also this soft quiet melancholic feel to it in the background, soooo perfect and lovely. i am devastated there's no known artist so i can't even look for more if i tried.. ㅤㅤ𝟺. 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍/𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 ☕️ ㅤ ٠ i am extremely picky with scents. 99% of things smell like cleaning products or old people to me unfortunately but i also want to smell good too <//3 i have landed on 2 products that when used together last genuinely my entireee work shift like i'm able to smell it on me even on my drive home, and i do 12 hours of manual labor this shouldn't even be possible. 🙏🙏🙏 saltair's body lotion in salt water vanilla, and amber perfume oil by nemat 🙏🙏🙏 swv lotion smells like sweetness but with a salt element that really helps it to blend into your skin better. and when combined with amber that just smells like warm clean skin out of the shower you get the perfect sweet cozy skin scent. ㅤㅤ𝟻. 𝒑𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒌𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒊𝒍 ㅤ ٠ i have been struggling with waaay more hair shedding than normal lately. probably due to my hair being in a tight ponytail basically all the time for work. but this has been so devastating because i miss having full hair <//3 in an attempt to bringher back to her fullest glory, i am starting pumpkin seed oil+saw palmetto supplements as well as using the hair growth serum from the ordinary. the best part about pumpkin seed oil is that it works for your hair by blocking dht which alsooo helps with acne. yet another cool thing i've been painstakingly trying to fix. so if this ends up a solution for both problems i think i may ascend or something. ㅤㅤUPDATE. i have an update to this as in it's taken me like 2 weeks to write this fully so i figured i could update as i'm writing how fun. but uh. i don't know if it's specifically the serum or the supplement but i have soooo many baby hairs 😭 i just had to use hair wax to slick them back because my ponytail now looks insane bc of how many baby hairs are sticking out. if we can keep this shit up then this is going to be a permanent routine for me bc omg..

every part of this sub except for the cheese was homemade and i fear i will never be able to have a meatball sub from anywhere or anyone else... my mother made the meatballs in bulk for the freezer and today my dad used herbs and tomatoes we froze from our garden for the sauce. my personal contribution to this meal was adding baking soda to the sauce to cut the acidity which i think was crucial 🫡 the only thing this is missing is grated parmesan... and maybe a crunchy green salad on the side would've been fun but this was incredible on its own.

ㅤ┈ᯓ𖹭 it's coming up on the holidays which is absolutely dreadful if you work in order fulfillment. i am trying to figure out easy easy things i can prep for the whole week without being too time consuming since come november 23rd i'll be working 5 / 12 hour shifts a week for a month or so 😵‍💫 this is my second year doing this, last time i was ordering so much food delivery and basically throwing away all the extra money i was getting from the overtime so this year we are locking innn. i think this week's menu is going to be on repeat for sure, everything could be prepped ahead of time, filling, and tastes amazing it's fantastic. ㅤ٠࣪⭑ 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌'𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒖 ⋆ ㅤㅤㅤ✶ cold brewed tulsi, hibiscus, and oat ㅤㅤㅤㅤ straw tea ㅤㅤㅤ✶ a dense bean salad (my own take on ㅤㅤㅤㅤ the scala salad version) ㅤㅤㅤ✶ peanut butter, (half raspberry half ㅤㅤㅤㅤ strawberry) jelly, seeds, and dark ㅤㅤㅤㅤ chocolate hummus sandwiches ㅤㅤㅤ✶ snack rotation: ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ• japanese pears ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ• purple grapes ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ• sliced cucumber ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ• ritz crackers ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ• pinenut hummus ㅤ┈ᯓ𖹭 i am trying cold brewed tea for prep for the first time. i go thru phases of loving tea then feeling like i don't have time to ever brew it so i'm hoping cold brewing ahead of time will circumvent that. this particular blend though is one i just tried for the first time off of a reccomendation from one of those crunchy wellness moms on social media and wow she did not steer me astray...not only does this taste almost like juice (i add liquid zinc and agave to mine) but it really has helped balance my energy levels and overall ability to focus. even if it's placebo it still tastes great so i'm definitely keeping this on rotation. ㅤㅤㅤthe dense bean salad is also semi new to me, as i am finally recovering from my previous distaste for beans in favor of all of the easily accessible fiber and protein, yada yada. this is my second time making it and it's incredibly good. i don't really have a recipe because it's just dicing up veggies, beans, and a protein small and tossing them with a flavorful dressing. i used a special lime infused olive oil for this and it truuuly brought it to an 11. ㅤㅤㅤand finally my toddler meal staple 🙏🙏 sometimes you just gotta fall back on pb&j. but because i'm extra i have been adding a seed blend (chia, flax, and hemp), along with dark chocolate hummus. if you feel weird adding hummus to a pb&j i assure you this is the best thing on the planet you don't taste any beans or anything, just try it. it makes it so filling i love having 50 of these in my freezer. ㅤㅤㅤmy biggest struggle has been finding snack foods that i'll consistently like. my job can make me not even want to eat my favorite foods sometimes from how physically demanding most days are. since i go through calories like crazy i was eating junk food most of the time bc it "didn't matter" but it was also making me feel like straight garbage so it did in fact matter. now trying to eat healthier things my poor sweet tooth has been suffering though 🥀 i need to find some healthy chocolatey treats that aren't 500 dollars and actually taste good because sometimes fruit just isn't enough rip.

i hate owning my own car for the first time tell me why i just drove on a complete flat for who knows how long because i saw my tire pressure light on and just decided not to worry about it until next week. so then when i finally check, not only is my front left tire COMPLETELY flat it is somehow missing its cap 😭 mind you i just bought this car idk how the cap dissappeared out of nowhere but i feel so silly and dumb for not looking sooner. thankfully this experience got me to buy more car stuff that i definitely should've already had but now i have my own air pressure pump so this will nawt happen again..

ㅤㅤ┈ᯓ𖹭 oooh soup season how i adore you. it's going to be my second winter season at my crummy warehouse job and i was so miserable all last winter but this time i !! refuse !! to be cold and miserable. and in the first step of this journey i decided to get a soup thermos 𖹭 and what better way to break in the new soup thermos than with a soup i'd never made or tried with an ingredient i thought i hated !!!!! ㅤㅤ i am not a fan of beans 98% of the time. the texture especially in a brothy soup setting just.. i really thought i didn't like it. but this recipe was so good i am probably going to make more next week it was that incredible. the original recipe is from sunshinelollipopssnufkin on tiktok but the measurements they included were in grams and milliliters (sorry for being american 😔) so i'm writing down my loosely converted measurements here so i can make this again as soon as humanly possible. ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒆 ㅤ✸ 3-4 leeks (i used 3 large ones) ㅤ✸ 2 tbsp butter ㅤ✸ 1 tbsp olive oil ㅤ✸ 3-4 cans of cannellini beans (i used 4) ㅤ✸ seasonings to taste (i included a picture of the ㅤㅤ ones i used !) ㅤ✸ 6 cups of veggie stock ㅤ✸ 1-2 cups of crème fraîche (i used 1. 2 is def ㅤㅤ optimal but you could also add half regular ㅤㅤ cream too) ㅤ✸ 2/3 cup of freshly grated parmesan ㅤ✸ 1 cup frozen spinach ㅤ𝟷. slice up and thoroughly clean leeks. then fry ㅤㅤ them in butter and oil until they start to turn ㅤㅤ translucent. ㅤ𝟸. completely rinse and add in cannellini beans. ㅤㅤ season everything to taste. (seasonings i ㅤㅤ personally used are in the pictures below if ㅤㅤ you need!) ㅤ𝟹. let cook for a few minutes then cover with ㅤㅤ veggie stock and let simmer for 5-10 minutes. ㅤ𝟺. stir in crème fraîche, grated parmesan, and ㅤㅤ spinach. let simmer for another 5-10 minutes ㅤㅤ and you're done! recipe source: sunshinelollipopssnufkin on tiktok

my dear loulou belle has a licking problem and refuses to let me brush her most days so her hairball situation has been really bad. i'd been left with no other choice but to subject her to torture (a bath). did she Like it? absolutely not. but she actually did really well, and didn't even try to jump out of the sink until the end when it was time to go get dried. my mom tried to hold her still but she was being difficult (understandably so) so i ended up having to hug her like a baby while she got blow dried. she didn't bite or scratch anyone she's such a gentle little sweetheart ❤️‍🩹 if only she'd become friends with her hair brush.

finally reached my first day off this week and spent it finishing bye sweet carole <33 it was incredible, i'll definitely make a full post for it but as it is halloween tomorrow i wanted to play more spooky games 🎃 so i am soooooooo excited to finally bring alice: madness returns out of my old 2015 pinterest boards and onto my pc to play it myself for the first time !!! it's a little ridiculous how cheap this game is when it's /this/ beautiful.

ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 celebrating my mother and brother's birthdays today with our family's staple birthday meal, egg rolls, some sort of noodle dish, and chocolate tweed cake 🫶 this time around though there was additions of tuna crispy rice sushi made by my sister (honestly my favorite part of the meal), and also a pumpkin tart from a local bakery that was so heavenly. my brother had bought the ingredients to try making takoyaki too but they didn't turn out <//3 ㅤㅤ this was a wild cooking experience for me because i ended up having to do all of the egg roll rolling alone... it may look so easy but when there's 500 to do it really takes you out 😭😭 i also have a ton of micro burns almost everywhere from the frying process whoof . this was all extremely worth it though, i could eat these things 50 at a time and never get tired of them seriously. ㅤㅤ the same goes for the chocolate tweed cake which was flawless as always. it still baffles me that chocolate tweed cake isn't a globally popular cake flavor, if i could only eat one kind of cake for the rest of my life this would be it truly.

ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 i couldn't possibly say anything about this movie that hasn't already been said, i just loved it, corniness and all 🫶 and it only took seeing 1603848 gay edits of it to finally watch. i can't rate this on how good of a horror movie it is because to be transparent i've only ever seen like 3 including this one but in general it was a fun watch 🙏

ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 it is my lovely mother's birthday today and if i had more time i would've made pumpkin pie (her favorite) but i work nights so i got home at 6am, meaning i woke up like 3 hours ago oops ! we are celebrating officially tomorrow but i wanted to give her a little sweet treat today and landed on this recipe from halle burns since sweet potatoes are pumpkin adjacentish. ㅤㅤ i think . ! my baking skills in general could use some work 🤓 i made a few mistakes that i am taking note of here so i don't make them again next time i make these. they turned out so good honestly, the flavor is so yummy (side note you will Not enjoy these if you dislike the taste of sweet potatoes (obviously)) but i feel it in my soul that if i change a few things i can make these perfect... ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒆 ㅤ✸ 2/3 cup sweet potato puree ㅤ✸ 1 cup flour ㅤ✸ 2 tsp baking powder ㅤ✸ 2 tbsp sugar ㅤ✸ 2 tsp vanilla ㅤ✸ 1 pinch salt ㅤ𝟷. mix and combine all ingredients to a dough ㅤ(you can start with a spatula but i ended up ㅤjust using my hands) ㅤ𝟸. roll out on a floured surface ㅤ𝟹. cut shapes with cookie cutters of choice ㅤ(or a jar lid works too) if you're doing circles, ㅤcut a smaller circle with a boba straw in the ㅤmiddle for the classic donut shape. ㅤ𝟺. fry ! ㅤ𝟻. coat in cinnamon sugar or glaze ㅤrecipe source: halle burns ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒏' 𝒇𝒊𝒙𝒆𝒔 ㅤ𝟷. fry time. oooh boy i really should've looked up fry times for donuts before trying for the first time. the amount of oil and temperature isn't an issue but i definitely didn't fry long enough because these turned out a bit doughy texture wise. ㅤ𝟸. only use !! sugar !! i tasted a bit of the dough before frying and thought it wasn't sweet enough so i added maple syrup too thinking the flavor would be nice. and to my credit it was, it tastes incredible, but i did not think far enough ahead to remember that these would be fried meaning the maple syrup could burn faster than the dough itself would cook, making the outside go dark dark brown after not even a full minute in the oil 😔 so these look near burned but were actually under done <//3 ㅤ𝟹. figure out how the cinnamon sugar thing is supposed to work.. i don't know if i did something else wrong but no matter how quickly i moved the donuts to the cinnamon sugar mixture it would Not stick. i debated adding melted butter or oil but that would've just added oil to oil and it felt ick lol. so next time i'll just stick to glaze. ㅤ𝟺. put sweet potato puree through a sieve. honestly this didn't effect the end result too much texture wise, but the dough had a lot of big pieces of sweet potato that wouldn't combine all the way. i think next time i'll microwave the sweet potato for longer and make sure it's fully pureed so it fully mixes in. this might help with the thick density of the dough and make the donuts fluffier i hope.

first thing i saw this morning when opening my eyes was a spider about the side of my eyeball dangling from the ceiling /right/ above me . and i went to get the vacuum to get rid of it but then i felt so guilty about killing it which gave the spider opportunity to get into my blanket that rests on top of my curtains to keep out the sunlight since i work nightshift 😃😃😃 so i guess i'm moving out of my room forever idk the spider can have it.

ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ★i drove out with my family tonight to attend my first ever star party ᐢᗜᐢ there's an island in the middle of the great salt lake called antelope island and it's a good distance away from all the lights of the cities making it the best place to see the stars ! ! ٠ ࣪⭑ ㅤㅤ this was my first time ever visiting the island too which is a little insane honestly because i've lived right next to it for over a decade at this point oops . this was so fun though! i definitely need to come back during the day at some point. unfortunately this week was the last star party of the year because it gets really really cold in the fall and winter. even tonight i was shivering a little bit and pretending i definitely wasn't cold. ㅤㅤ i was able to get some pictures but even with my fancy phone you really can't compare pictures to what i actually saw. the sky was so clear and empty that you could clearly see the curvature of the planet in the stars, And we could see the milky way which was so cool to see with my own eyes. there was a bunch of people who'd brought their telescopes and i kind of regret not going to look through any of them.. i really gotta come back next year. ㅤㅤ though the stars were beautiful, my favorite part of this was laying on the dirt in the dark with my family just laughing together while we star gazed. next time i'm gonna bring a thermos of cocoa or soup or something so we can stay warm longer 🙏 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣴⣶⡀ ⠀⠀⢠⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣤⣾⠏⠘⠿⣦⣤ ⠀⠀⣾⠉⠻⢶⠶⠛⢻⡇⠀⠀⠀⠘⢻⡦⠀⠀⢰⡾⠃ ⢀⣤⠿⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⡟⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠸⠷⠿⠿⣾⣷ ⢿⣥⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢻⡆ ⠀⠈⠉⣿⣀⣾⠟⠛⠋⠁ ⠀⠀⠀⠘⠛⠁

ㅤㅤㅤ ┈─★ this venture started bad. and by bad i mean i got to spend like 8 minutes waiting for a cargo train to pass. then i drove to daiso by myself for the first time on roads i was unfamiliar with which was ever so slightly hell on earth. i almost got into an accident on the freeway (i am 51% sure it wouldn't have been my fault) while listening to star eyes by zb1 for the first time which made it feel less like i was about to die and more like i just hit a banana in mario kart 💛 i ended up going to daiso, five below (for like 5 minutes and not buying anything bc the location sucked), and ross. i got the following things: ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ the yummiest canned coffee ☕️ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ 2 cute bear items ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ(a box cutter & a key hook) ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ clownfish cat toy ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ(louise hates it sadly so ig it's mine now) ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ bao bun squishy ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ(so cute but it smells awful 😔) ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ 2 whale plates ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ(planned this whole trip for them..🐳) ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ cute deep purple shirt ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ and not pictured was 2 claw clips that i now need to find and purchase 50 more of because holy shit they're the first claw clips that actually work for my hair . ㅤㅤㅤㅤeven more importantly though, i secured another daiso bag ! their bag designs are so cute i can't wait to use it for groceries.. there was an ulta nearby that i really wanted to go check out too but i needed to book it to the venue for a mbmbam liveshow which was super fun!! i really needed today, i have been really struggling with work life balance. (in the sense that there isn't any balance at all) and peak season is coming up soon so i'll be working 55+ hour work weeks for 4-6 weeks soon so like i Really . needed this 🫩 i need to find some hobbies that don't involve spending unnecessary money though oops.. if anyone has any fun cheap hobbies they enjoy my ears are all yours !

ㅤㅤ ┈─★ i work 10-12 hour night shifts doing repetitive mindless tasks which essentially means that if i don't have something to listen to at work my brain starts melting out of my ears. typically i go for music or dnd podcasts but there is one non dnd podcast i love and it is my brother my brother and me 🙂‍↕️ while this is probably not a widely shared opinion with other listeners, i specifically love their live show episodes. i have all of them in a playlist that i shuffle through at work sometimes when music isn't cutting it anymore. i've been listening to these live episodes for years and years but only today, in the big 25, was i finally able to attend one actually live in person 🎉 this was also the first live thing i've ever gone to by myself so i was a little worried it was gonna be a horrific experience for my anxiety but it ended up being incredible 🙏 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 ㅤㅤ ┈─★ i have never really watched any of their video content before since i listen at work so seeing them in person was so crazy because they really look exactly like they sound 😭 griffin also had a sick lightning mcqueen costume. ㅤㅤ ┈─★ there was a bit where travis said something about federal body inspector and i don't even remember what the original question was because travis and justin were going back and forth adding different words for the F part of FBI and i got to hear the entire crowd audibly gasp in horror as justin unintentionally introduced the words "fatherly body inspector" to the world 💀 ㅤㅤ ┈─★ one of the audience questions was asking what to do with a giant horse kidney stone??? ㅤㅤ ┈─★ there was a munch squad which honestly wasn't nearly as crazy as some of the other munch squads done before, it was about iced tea that they were calling heist tea for the new now you see me movie, but it ended up being one of the funniest parts of the show because like halfway through the whole thing griffin finally realized what the word play was and it had the whole theater dying for like 5 straight minutes lmaooo. ㅤㅤ ┈─★ walking back to the parking garage with everyone else, i ended up walking in front of the person who asked a question about their cute dog. (important to note the dog's name was chopper. excellent name) griffin's advice to his issue was to "trade the dog" like a pokemon and he said he didn't like that part (lol) but he was so excited that they praised his cute dog and said he would repeat that part of the episode when it gets posted which made me smile, humans are so silly and cute. ㅤㅤ ┈─★ the only true negative of this was the knowledge that other stops also got taz (their dnd podcast) live shows but slc did not <//3 or else i definitely would've gone. i hope we get taz next time they tour 🙏🙏 ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 10.22.25 update ㅤㅤ the episode recording was posted!!! listening to it right now is feeling so surreal like wdym i already heard all of this.
