What a way to keep the audience in suspense, starting from an event whose outcome is known. The editing of this film is top-notch in generating this feeling of tension. In 1972, during the Olympic Games in Munich, West Germany, there was a terrorist attack on the Israeli athletes' team by a Palestinian extremist group. This film shows how this was experienced from the production booth of an United States channel and everything they did to report the events. The intention of this is to demonstrate that if you have a good visual narrative, it doesn't matter if the outcome is known, the film will still be interesting and stressful. The performances are also wonderful. A short but masterfully crafted film and an excellent start to Spielberg's Munich.
