every part of this sub except for the cheese was homemade and i fear i will never be able to have a meatball sub from anywhere or anyone else... my mother made the meatballs in bulk for the freezer and today my dad used herbs and tomatoes we froze from our garden for the sauce. my personal contribution to this meal was adding baking soda to the sauce to cut the acidity which i think was crucial 🫡 the only thing this is missing is grated parmesan... and maybe a crunchy green salad on the side would've been fun but this was incredible on its own.
