I just deleted my first public Instagram account from 2018 that had all my friends from high school. I'm kinda sad but it had to be done. All I'm left is one account, which is private and strictly for family only. I haven't used Instagram ever since high school bc i cut everyone off 😭 and my social paranoia hasn't recovered yet...😅 don't even know if that's even a thing lmaoo. anyways, i used to use that app like crazyy and I had so many memories with friends offline and online. It was only the last few years that I started noticing a shift in the digital space in general, and looking at it now I just can't handle it anymore. my only "social" apps that I use now are repov, youtube, spacehey, discord, and xhs (rednote). and I don't imagine myself ever looking back anytime soon. the only problem I will face is interacting with people my age bc everyone has Instagram now, and like promoting jobs/businesses. 😞

I did that as soon as I got out of highschool. But recently downloaded it again just to keep in touch. I promise you the fomo will disappear after time and you'll forget you ever had it in the first place.

ppl don’t even like stuff anymore on ig it just became a giant stalking app. I still had 2 accounts one for family friends which I don’t use besides keeping up with latest drops on things I like. the other I just post my pictures that I like. but I post it just cause I can and I want to share at first it was to see if I can get a following now it’s just cause I think it’s nice. but I found this app so now my other account has been dead lol.

i get you. i deleted ig two years ago and feel much better💆♂️ and not only finding people your age is hard, but finding people your age who are like you is such a pain, both online and offline.

no seriously instagram changed so much the past few years it was such a fun app were people post silly stories and photo dumps but now everyone is trying to look perfect i barely open it anymore
