I powered through purely because the story was good. ‎But gods help me, the narrator. ‎I don’t know what choices were made here, but the way she delivers certain lines made listening feel unnecessarily difficult. it’s that the narration actively pulled me out of moments that should have hit harder. Finishing this audiobook felt like endurance, not relaxation. ‎Spice level is about 2.5/5 🌶️. Nothing wild, nothing unhinged. But the YEARNING? Oh, that’s where this book shines.
