A heartbreaking story that forces us to reflect on war and the consequences that innocent civilians must bear. It hurts…. It really hurts. In a Palestinian call center, they receive a distress call to help a 6-year-old girl, the sole survivor of an attack. From within the call center offices and using original audio recordings, the film reflects how agonizing it can be to coordinate a rescue inside a war zone—where rescue teams are only minutes away, but attempting to save the child without proper clearance could lead to disastrous consequences. The film is very intense and difficult to watch; I wouldn't call it 'enjoyable' given the subject matter. However, its technical and documentary merit is compelling and powerful. It was nominated for an Oscar for Best International Feature, a thoroughly well-deserved nomination. A great film, but very tough to watch... and above all, to hear the voice of little Hamood.
