holy crap i’ve been to the movie theaters so many times. they’re so sick of me oh my god saw this as a blind film with my same film friend where you buy your tickets for a movie but you don’t know what you’ll see. they’re movies that haven’t been released to the public yet. tickets were only $6 so i wasn’t expecting anything too crazy but it was super good, i was surprised. definitely had an interesting premise and the music used to show tension during it was GREAT!! i really enjoyed it. actually made me want to try playing piano again (still cannot read sheet music despite playing since i was 10ish) only thing i’ll say is that regarding it’s representation of niki’s (main character’s) condition of hyperacusis is super dramatized and not represented well from what i’ve seen people say. interesting bc as someone with hearing aids i related to a bunch of it despite being on the complete opposite side of the “hearing spectrum”. the ebdibg had me gripping my seat, it stressed me OUTTT!! popcorn was spilled bc my dymbass didn’t look before putting my things down and hitting the bowl of popcorn 💔💔💔so sorry amc workers

WOOOOO finally saw it!!! it was SO worth the watch, i thought it was a pretty good movie and definitely deserves the praise. my tiktok is now full of phm tiktoks about rocky and grace. that astrophage scene??? blew me away, it was gorgeous. visually, this movie is stunning. i thought rocky was like,,, a robot??? at first??? for some reason??? and then actually saw him in the movie and i ended up feeling maternal for this silly space rock. the ending was super surprising, i didn’t expect that. overall, really good film! i also really liked the martian, another film made from the original authors books, which is also why i didn’t doubt that i’d at least like this film. i just love how much creativity went into this movie, just seeing the behind the scenes of rocky alone is just,, so so cool. did not even occur to me that rocky was ever a puppet while watching it. i really wish though they kept some things from the book in, but other than that, it’s made me super intrigued in reading the book! i’ve heard many good things about the audiobook but my local library has 50+ people in line and a 6 month wait 😭😭😭😭 only thing that i disliked was our popcorn and two drinks being TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS????? crazy. but i love movie theaters soooo i guess ill pick my battles. ROCKY MATE BAD AS HELL

FORGOT TO PUT MY THOUGHTS OH MY GOD love love love how drew can just go from ‘here’s something i hate and why it shows the way our society is crumbling’ to ‘here’s me trying something i’m awful at for your entertainment’. 10/10 very funny i loved watching it while munching on my lunch.
