today was un vrai bon day ! i finally met up with my friends cause they hadn't seen me a lot of time, since i was at the monastery doing my obedience. we walked around the malls and speaking russian. we went into an asian grocery store, and i bought myself some tea and some gum with really pretty wrappers !! at the bookstore, my fiancé bought me a wonderful book by george orwell, the one i'd been wanting to re-read in russian for so long. i'm starting tonight, for real !! he also gave me these beautiful earrings he brought back from his work trip, and this really cute knitted keychain that smells like a campfire and wood. honnêtement, i loved this day so much.

hey everyone, hi again!! i'm finally back after, like, une éternité. so much stuff happened, and i really hope tout le monde is doing okay. honnêtement, i can't wait to tell you what's new with me these days :з one of the biggest things - mon fiancé gifted me a momonga!! 🌟 c'est trop mignon. momonga est trop mignon, seriously. also, i decided to take care of my body and my health, so i started the keto diet. and maintenant..i feel terrible without sugar in my system.. but bon, i'm trying not to lose it. i also visited a bunch of cool places, maybe i'll tell you about them later. i went to so many temples, to alexander pushkin's grave, to tula - plein d'endroits. i really, really loved it, and i genuinely enjoyed every trip. and, btw, lately i've been totally glued to those cozy videos with animal crossing characters and chill music. c'est tellement vibey 💋 the little animals are just doing their thing, and i'm doing mine. trop bien. oh, and with some effort, i managed to dig up these huge books on mythology in russian. trop contente. that's not everything, i'll try to post here more often. bonne chance everyone!! 💕

just remembered that here I can talk about my studies, even though I've never written about them here before.. so, it hit me that in May I have my finals week and exams, and somehow I need to learn all of world history and Russian history. I'm a little stressed because I haven't touched history all year.. of course, Minayev's lectures in Russian helped me a lot. as for Russian itself, I don't even know what to say. my teacher thinks I'm a diligent student with perfect Russian. but she probably doesn't even stop to think that I have a double name for a reason, and that the language is far from my native one. today I also had time to struggle with my beloved Latin 💕 as a native French speaker, I find pronunciation in Latin a bit tricky because I start applying French pronunciation rules to Latin, which sounds really weird.

It's been a very busy week, but I have so much to cover!!

I celebrated my catholic easter five days ago, now it's time for orthodox, hehe. I don't really know, I'm not a big fan of modern easter cakes with fillings... after all, it's a reference to the eucharistic bread. Christ appeared to his disciples after the resurrection and shared a meal with them. therefore, it is a religious bread intended for breaking the fast. but on the other hand, there is no prohibition in the church against such experiments, and easter cakes can be baked according to any recipe

i always cry reading lafayette's letters to hamilton. he's tellement tendre, tellement full of love and it pours from every line, every lettre. pas juste the words, but les espaces between them. unlike hamilton, he never hides son cœur. but hamilton? he answered tellement peu, and when he did it was toujours cold. he went to sa tombe without ever replying to the marquis's lettre🪦

HAHA MDR i just found out that my russian classmates the ones who don't really like me made a group chat without me and named it the "антифранцузская коалиция" (anti-french coalition) c'est trop drôle, honestly, it's too funny to even be real😭💔 🥀 🥀 🥀 🥀

salut everyone, i'm back ! been a while, right ? i'll try to be more active in july 🎑 so, the first month of summer is coming to an end, such a beautiful one, and i want to properly wrap it up, un petit bilan. okay, so about what i mentioned in my last " daily life " post: my keto diet is over ! now i'm just on a strict calorie deficit, guys. lots of salads and cottage cheese. also, as a form of therapy, i've been doing some creative stuff ! i made a little felt dog, a card for my fiancé, and bought a kids' notebook to write down the darkest, most terrifying things in there. i also ordered some stickers from china, but they'll take forever to arrive, malheureusement. i'll definitely do a review though ! and since nobody actually reads my posts, i can literally just write whatever i want in the middle tabarnac de calice d'hostie de christ jfielelsodkfoekwpwüfplwüwpw i've also been walking a ton.. me and my fiancé covered practically all of petersburg !! 🌟 visited neighborhoods i never usually go to. and probably one of the biggest things - films ! i watched a bunch of new ones and rewatched some old gems i'd completely forgotten about. attached two screenshots with my ratings, basically just duplicated my letterboxd in picture form :з soon my fiancé's leaving and i'll be really sad without him. gonna have to go back to phone calls with terrible connection again. bon, c'est comme ça.

having a decent time drawing.. it sucks not having a proper art education, honestly 🤷‍♀️ polka dots toucan oh, btw didn't mention in my last post that i recently, to my own surprise, attended a service at a protestant church. it was really unusual for me, considering i used to serve as an altar girl in a catholic parish 🥹 i'm planning to go back there,, it was an interesting and unique experience. also my faith is super unstable, or more like, i have issues with faith in general.. it's hard to admit, but i'm agnostic, and sometimes it honestly hurts, tv ? also planning to get back into watching films on that theme i mentioned before (movies about perversion and hypersexuality), i'll be rating them, updating my top list, writing reviews, and all that ૮₍ ๑ ˃͈ ꒵ ˂͈ ๑ ₎ა it keeps my mind off useless thoughts and forces me to focus entirely on art and studying. c'est tout pour le moment

sooo, rien de nouveau, guys. i'm still watching movies. six films a day isn't a dream or a fantasy anymore, c'est la réalité. i decided to rewatch all of wes anderson's films and make a top list. i really do love this director so much.. he loves the french new wave as much as i do, tv ? also, i keep reminding myself that i'm an art historian, which means i should be drawing too. so i'm trying to squeeze something out of my stylus, bon, je fais ce que je peux. oh, and i found this one app, kinda like repov, and i wanna try using it.. i'll make a separate post about it very soon ! voilà :D
