(Follow-up update below!!) Lol I'm rating Repov on Repov 🤣 But I was today years old when I found out that Repov has a website version. However, you can't see other people's posts and you can only create your own while viewing your feed. I guess the devs locked most of the features behind the app version, which I understand but I kinda also wanna catch up on my mutuals posts on a browser while I'm using my PC. ** UPDATE (AUGUST 8, 2026): IDK if I'm just stupid or if they added the "Feed" later on, but it's on desktop now! You just still can't comment or like stuff :( And you can't specifically check your mutuals feed, you can only view the regular feed + movie/books/music/life categories.

"We no longer explore the internet like in the early 2000s" Oh, well I still do. SO IM HERE TO BE UR HONEST APP DEALER AND REVIEWER (I'm tired of app reviewers being sponsored and not giving honest reviews + they all post the same things). So, I'm highlighting apps I find that DONT HAVE ADS + ARE COMPLETELY FREE 🤑 I will make a post for android apps too but for now, check out these iOS photo editor apps I found :) LINKS! It's quite okay, for a 'study together' app, however it's lacking a few things that I believe would matter to people who track their studying/reviewing/reading. 1) A statistics page: it's motivating to see how many hours you've poured into studying a specific subject or maybe just your overall hours spent tracking your studying 2) Character customization: There aren't a lot of options to change how you look, and usernames seems to be a free for all at the moment where you can't exactly bind a username to an email address . 3) Different maps/locations: People will want a change of scenery or a different place to sit with friends eventually. It's a promising app, don't get me wrong but it has competition on the app store and on the web.

Exploring random sites on the web and stumbled upon this. Don't know what it's supposed to mean, but the hidden text is cheeky

man, i thought this was an ARG. almost scared ts out of me

i saw the app being promoted on Threads and decided to try it out. It's alright, I guess. Though, it's quite laggy/slow esp when you transition between tabs. The feed is O.K. Like, people are just posting random pictures but it doesn't feel too different from Instagram in its current state imo. Yes, you get customization options, but it doesn't feel like a deconstructed Instagram (which is what I look for in a social media app). The app makes you feel like you have to curate yourself, and yk maybe people still like that. I don't. I may just stick to Posting2 and Repov. I also don't like the modern glyphs and UI the app uses. I have this Web1.0 and early Web2.0 itch that needs to be scratched, so Cucu doesn't feel like it's "IT" for me. Also people are already doing the whole "follow for follow" thing there... keep that on IG omfg. ruining the damn app. in 2 months everyone will get burnt out and leave bc of u

I like this better than SpaceHey 😭 the drawing function just makes the app WAYYYY more enjoyable for me bc i loveeee doodling!!! People’s profiles are so creative, AND BC I LOVE WEBCORE, I WILL 100% be frequenting this platform!!!!! Im also rp’ing as a penguin there lmao. You can also switch between an Old Web and Frtugier Aero interface, which is so so so cool. They really have the UI perfected, imo. Sadly, the app is only available on iOS, so I cant use it on my Android phone… but i have it on my iPad so its oke.

another app review! So, I've found my new private journal app :) Offline, no servers, page-turning animations, and a bunch of customization options! Wish I could upload videos here to show the UI in one video, but when typing in an entry, you can write text, add a photo, and attach a song. For notebook layouts, you can customize the cover, pages, and font too :) And their latest journal cover option is an animated autumn-themed notebook (leaves fall when you open a page lol it's so cozy). ** The app is still in beta testing so it's not available on the app store/play store yet! BUT you can STILL download it by messaging the dev for a beta/testflight link for both iOS and Android!!!! Message the dev to install the beta app!!! Link right here to his profile: https://www.threads.com/@lightbugs.app?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== ---- I'm a huge to-do list person, and right now, I use the Naver Calebdar app for that. However, I would 100% ditch NAVER even though I'd be sacrificing online sync for Lightbugs IFFFF an Agenda/To-Do list were implemented in the future.

So, I've once again prawled through the App Store like an alchoholic in a liquor store during payday... 🥲 (this is totally not a cry for help) BUT last night, I focused on TOOLS—apps that are of utility. Stuff that maybe students or casual users may need. Sometimes Apple's native iPhone apps don't cut it when it comes to editing pictures or tweaking your files. 📂 Maybe you just need to stitch screenshots together or censor something at the background of one of your photos. But when you search the App Store, the first set of apps that show up are ad-ridden editing platforms with USELESS AI features. "I just need to blur the background why is this app 260mb..." (I'm looking at you, PICSART). Well, here are three apps I've found that let you ANNOTATE pics/create basic collages, COMPRESS videos, and capture videos/pictures IN LOWER RESOLUTIONS without sacrificing too much output quality. 📷 Useful if you're saving storage space :3 (links to these apps are below) 🆒 ------------------- Links ^___^ - GramCamera: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gramcamera-save-storage/id6804235227 - iMark: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/imark-image-annotation-tool/id1174741369 - LeanVid: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/leanvid-video-compressor/id6796710561 ------------------- P.S. I've found two Android apps that are pretty cool to showcase. However, one of them is a freemium app (free but your options are capped until you pay a subscription fee). I don't really wanna recommend apps with a subscription plan cuz the whole point of this series is to help others avoid spending money on things they won't own... Though, I get that devs need money; maybe I'll only highlight indie dev apps that aren't super money hungry. Also my phone's memory is fighting for its life. I download at least 10 apps to try, and only write about 3 because those 3 apps are the only ones worthy of being acknolwedged. P.P.S. GramCamera and LeanVid are both from the same developer + both apps were released just this month, i think ^^ the dev seems to know what a lot of iOS users struggle with
