this was a fun and definitely predictable watch (apparently there was no twist in this, HA). daisy remains a powerhouse when it comes to crying scenes, you just can’t help but go 🥺🥺 with her. i also loved her chemistry with glenn; got me giggling and snorting in a few places.

aww the first kiss was everythinggggg. tbh all of their firsts were so cute; the uncertainty, the shyness, the eagerness shared between them were so palpable. i also like how they don’t necessarily fit into the typical nerdy girl/misfit jock-ish boy tropes of standard romcoms. they didn’t limit themselves into those mold, they actually have real personality in this!

how a 1am flight from CGK T1 look like. i love the vibe sm. complete opposite to how T3 is. i'm fighting this strong urge to find a corner, sit there, watch people go and about, and just be lost in my own thoughts.

i expected nothing, and got nothing in return. this was so boring, i’m sorry. i kept falling asleep watching this but my momma raised no quiter so watched the whole thing i did.

the other day i was watching the latest eps on netflix and i got suuuuper impatient HAHAHA. i just needed to know what happened at middle school???? and i know i can’t do 1 eps a week at this rate. so off i went to read the manga. i have now finished all 107 english translated chapters. and will be looking out for the rest. i love it so much, to my surprise HAHAHA. it is now my current hyperfixation. i love the direction where it is going, i know some people are rooting for someone else (I WAS TOO!!!!), but once i got into the manga… it just makes perfect sense. it has the right amount of angst (i can’t do something too angsty, gone are those days), it’s breezy, it’s cute, it’s everything nice and warm. 🥰🥰 there was this one arc that i just wished it would finish quickly 👀👀i was so happy when it finally did. some cute spoiler-free panels i love (i’m gonna turn them into my kobo screensaver hehe).

i was spot on with my prediction. i love the kids and d’arcy and judy. heavy on the first two. i hate the sheriff (ugh keeps getting on my nerves!!) and the men in black (so unnecessary, also i keep seeing dina from superstore in one of them).

eps 4 was so much fun! the dinner at the mayor’s place (him and d’arcy just makes so much sense hahaha), we got a closer look at asta’s past and her family, and the kids are on their own side quests. i’m loving it so far.

so i’ve been going back and forth to this clinic called sakti medika at tebet. this was perhaps my 6th or 7th visit since jan. there is this small cute cafe inside the clinic, right side to the entrance door. i think the name was bintique cafe. AND MY GOD WAS THEIR FOOD TASTE PHENOMENAL. you know how most cafes sell overpriced heavily processed food like those fries and nugget platter?? this one didn’t (or maybe they did, yea they probably did since it’s staples for cafes, i didn’t actually get a good look at their full menu). they actually sell home cooked meals. and they taste exactly like the kind of food my mom or aunt would cook at home. so far, i’ve tried their: - dimsum (ok this one might be the least i liked from what i’ve ordered so far) - hot cappucino (this was legit a suprise. i thought they’d just use cheap instant cappucino but guess what?? they actually blend & brew it themselves. AND!!! they serve the sweet syrup separately. have repurchased and will continue to do so on my future visits) - teh sereh (this is sugar free! i repeat. SUGAR. FREE!!! and no preservatives added!!!) - tahu goreng (my goodness this baby was hugeee and delishhh. they use white tofu, but instead of just filling it with the usual chopped veggies, they add minced meat into the mix??? i have no idea they could work so well together) - nasi cobek (was almost gonna order their nasi goreng ayam but i saw this on the menu board, and it piqued my interest, so i ordered it instead. and i’m so glad i did. this was actually just like the usual ‘rice-fried tempeh, tofu, chicken-sambal-sliced cucumber, tomato, lettuce-sayur asem’ combo BUT they actually ungkeped their chicken??? the piece of tempeh and tofu were thick and well-seasoned??? oh and the sayur asem…. i know that’s someone's households’ recipe!! that’s someone’s mom’s cooking out of love!!!) 😭😭😭😭😭 i so wished i had taken pictures so i can eternalize the experience. but it’s ok i promised myself to try something new from their menu everytime, then i get to experience that heavenly taste all over again. maybe by then i will take pictures too.

just started watching this since it’s become available on netflix. saw it has 2 seasons there. will attempt to watch both, as long as it stays interesting. there were some moments that got me cackling in the first few episodes - him beefing with that kid and d’arcy mistakenly thinking he was flirting with her the whole time. 😆😂 i’m gonna bet the end of season 1 will be him cancelling his mission and trying to save humanity instead. also, i desperately need asta & vanderspeigle’s relationship to be & stay platonic. please.

grabbed this for a quick and light read (yes, this was meant for 9-12 year-olds, but i just love reading children’s books so much 🥺🥺). i’d say it does its job perfectly. though i really wished it went deeper into each figure's backstory so that the reader could relate and be genuinely inspired by them. the author worked together with muslim artists to illustrate the portraits, and there are also interactive mini-games in the very last chapter, which i’m quite sure will be loved by a lot of young readers. would i recommend this for kids? yea, sure, why not.
