I just finished episode 7 and a lot has happened. SPOILERS AHEAD! Chia-jen finally reconciled with his daughter and she got to tell him the things she had been wanting to say, even if a lot of it was through the video of her singing competition. Kao Ta-fu committed suicide which I'm confused by. It's unclear what was in the locket of his wife's bracelet. Was it her ashes? I doubt an adult would die from consuming a bit of ashes. Was it poison? So was he planning on committing suicide all this time? A new killer was introduced as well and judging from how they were able to change the data on someone's profile, they must be a cop. I'm guessing it's Hsin-Ping's team leader. He's been against Chia-jen and her helping him out since the beginning. It was suspicious how he wouldn't sign the warrants she printed out when he knows it's such a high-profile serial killing case. I wonder though how it's all gonna play out considering there's only one episode left. Also, I was hoping someone more than one of the group would survive but now there's only Tin-yu left. I knew Wao Tsai would die but I thought he would become more significant to the story.

I'm watching episode 7 of Million-Follower Detective and the fans are so ridiculous. They're mad at being called "brainless fans" when they're the ones who doxxed Pin-Hsuan, threw paint at her apartment's gate, and bought tickets worth 30,000 to an event just to see someone die. Ta-Fuo has a point. They're all just hiding behind their keyboards, switching sides easily and acting high and mighty, when they're in fact guilty.

SPOILER ALERT! Hyeonu is definitely not remembering the situation right. It doesn't make sense for his mom to have grabbed the knife if she was comatose. Even if she conveniently woke up as he was about to stab her, there's no way she would have had the strength to stop him. I really hope he didn't actually drink the pill. It's clearly just to control him into integrating into the complex's insanity. Also, the pills are labeled Jimin Ma. I'm guessing that will be his new name if they successfully manipulate him.

I just finished episode 2 of the Korean series Somebody and I'm so confused. The scenes keep switching and episode 2 has fast forwards where we just move onto the aftermath of the event with no context of what happened. I doubt they cut some scenes due to censorship. I'm watching on Netflix and it has numerous shows that have explicit content. This series is also marked as 18+ so viewers know what to expect. There's no reason to censor anything. The flow is just messy. Edit: I started ep 3 and I get what they were going for. Still, it wasn't executed well. Also just realized I've seen a clip on social media. Now I'm excited to see where it's gonna go.

I just finished watching As You Stood By. It's a beautiful heart-wrenching limited series about domestic abuse and how it's highly ignored in South Korea. I don't know the actual statistics, but in the series, the women around Eun-su are being abused by their husband with everyone who knows turning a blind eye, including her. It's not until she finds out about her best friend's situation that she starts to do something. While the end had a perfect happy movie ending, I do wish that there was more to So-baek's backstory. I wonder too if he actually knows Chinese or just practiced the few lines given to him. I looked up the cast and apparently Eun-su, Jeon So-nee, is 35. I thought she was in her late 20s at most and that's what I thought the characters' ages were—between late 20s and early 30s. I also wonder if So-baek had feelings for Eun-su or if he saw her like a sibling. He's definitely much older but how he kept calling her and inviting her out to eat even after the watch thing was settled makes me question 🤔 Edit: It's been 2 days since I wrote this and I still don't know how Jang Kang was able to open the door to Eun-su's apartment. The only reason I can think of is that Jinpyo kept a note of it on his phone, but who does that?? He could keep track of US stocks daily but not the code to his apartment??

The mind is so powerful it can convince itself that something is real even if no one else thinks so. And dreams, how do they happen? Are they just reflections of our deepest thoughts? Are they predictions? There's so much we, humans, still don't know about our species and the rest of the world. I wonder if we ever will.

You gotta experience the lows to appreciate the highs, and in a way, it's a wonderful experience to care so much about someone that losing them hurts deeply.

Posting my thoughts here because I have a feeling it'll get deleted on Webtoon. Why are some of these comments trying to justify El and Lurine's relationship. Aside from Lurine looking and acting like a child, she is legitimately a child (17 in human age). She's not of age yet. El is around 27-29, and he's known her since she was even younger. Even if it's not illegal in this world, El is human and older so he should know better. Her having a crush on him was fine but him starting a relationship with her is WRONG. It's so gross that there are comments justifying this by saying there are 17 year olds who get married (that's child marriage btw and is wrong too) and that the other couple have an even bigger age gap. Those two were already fully grown adults when they met. Again, Lurine was a child when she met El and she still is. The situations are different.

Reading this again is bringing back all the frustrations I felt when I first started reading it. I hate seeing how John is acting even worse than the people he hated—violent and out of control. Instead of dismantling the hierarchy, he's just enforcing it * 10 worse. He's a tyrant. I love this panel (see image). Blyke is acknowledging that he, the formal royals, and all the other high-rankers were wrong. He knows now and is trying to be better by making a safe place for everyone. I hope everyone else sees it too. All these students need to be kinder to one another and themselves.

After a long time, I picked up unOrdinary again. I read it consistently at first but when it got to John lashing out at everyone and beating them half to death, I dropped it for a while. Now, I'm picking up where I left off where John is doing the same thing but from when he was in New Bostin. The students and even the comments are blaming Claire, and to be fair, I don't remember what Claire did before this episode, but right now, I don't think it's her fault that New Bostin John got this bad. Yes, she helped him but she never wanted him to go this far. It's unfair that people are turning against her when her initial intentions were only to help a friend out.

I just finished season 1 of The Last Passage by RD and KIRO, including the afterword, and RD's message made me cry. It's always a delight to see the process of how a webtoon comes to fruition but I don't think I've ever read an afterword that touched me the way TLP's did.
