Some parts were relatable, but most of it wasn’t (for me). The writing felt clumsy. They kept jumping between situations just to force an impactful climax that was supposed to break you emotionally, but it felt overdone. Like the girl, "Maya" her side of the story felt incomplete. They talked about her so much as if she would get some proper closure, but they just left it hanging. And I didn’t really get the Basil Joseph part either. He was parenting there parents, but nothing meaningful came out of it. It felt like filler that didn’t add much to the movie. But yeah, the climax was touching, and that “Makane” song hit hard.
