"I'm nothing. I'm just a fuckin' piano tuner." Tuner (2025), a crime/thriller written and directed by Daniel Roher, follows a talented piano tuner whose meticulous skill at tuning pianos leads him to an unexpected discovery of cracking safes. Very entertaining. The cinematography and screenplay heavily reminded me of , especially Baby Driver, all those fast cuts jumping from one scene to another. The whole sound design, the way the character experiences it and how the film translates that to the audience, was a great experience in the cinema. These kinds of movies usually mess up the pacing, especially with the whole first-half/second-half balance. But this was perfect, not rushed, not stuffy, everything felt on point. After a long time, saw something original within this style of filmmaking. Totally worth it.
