this, to me, is a prime example of a perfected bottled up movie identity in a form of a sound. right from hearing the first note, i can pull up and play that specific sequence in my head - joan & luke literally walking down their memory lanes, oh so vividly. one moment they were hand in hand, smiling at each other sheepishly. the next, they were scared, angry, defeated, with tears in their eyes. so hopeful but so so soul-crushing at the same time. ugh i could write essays about this.
