🔗THE RECIPE I USED IS IN THE LINK Can’t believe I’ve never made apple sauce before? Tasted a bit now and can’t wait to put it on my overnight oats tomorrow!! It’s one of the best ways to enjoy apples without getting bloated as quickly (esp if you have IBS), and it’s full of fiber and the blueberries provide so many good nutrients that can help fight inflammation in our bodies. The latter part is really helpful for me now considering my gastritis symptoms are most likely due to inflammation in the stomach lining. Not having an apple cutter that also pits the apples made this quite a tedious task tho, so get one of those if making this. Other than that it cooks itself. I also didn’t make any big amendments to this recipe. I just cooked it a bit longer, used honey instead of maple syrup (cuz that’s what we had) and cinnamon sticks instead of powder (idk why but in my mind it leaves a nicer taste) and smashed it with a fork while cooking to get a chunkier texture.
