WOW. this might be my favorite thriller k-drama of the year. i loved how it focused on how this case ruined everyone's lives, even the people chasing the murderer. i also liked that the dual timelines never felt confusing and kept things interesting. rip to everyone who was murdered by the hwaseong serial killer. ACAB you'll always be hated by me. may the real perpetrator rot in his prison cell and the deepest pit of hell.

if someone watches this and thinks nikki is the scary one but has nothing to say about bear, that's your cue to run.

i didn't expect a book this small to leave such a big feeling behind. i finished it in one sitting and spent the entire time smiling bcs totto-chan is just pure ball of sunshine. tomoe feels like a little haven, and mr. kobayashi's patience, kindness, and trust in his students made me wish every child could have someone like him in their life. definitely one of my favorite reads.

so many things happened, but my favorite part was getting to know other characters more, esp asako. i'm obsessed with the irony that "hikaru" doesn't understand the difference between life and death and insists dying isn't scary, yet doesn't want yoshiki to die bcs he's special and they can experience human life together.
