This movie nearly made me shit myself, ngl. I love going into movies blind, so I never read the premise if I can help it. Based on the title alone, I was like, “Oh, this is probably gonna be some weird, twisted romance.” Technically… I wasn’t wrong. Just catastrophically underestimating how twisted we were talking. The movie starts off with the group’s friendship, and it’s honestly so fun and warm that you can’t help but root for them. They’re so comfortable with each other, and the chemistry feels genuine. Then someone decides to be an absolute coward, and that’s where everything starts going downhill. Nikki is great at first. Cool, charming, easy to like. But the second Bear’s wish kicks in? Girl started activating every survival instinct in my body. The beginning of their relationship had me thinking, “Aw, this is cute. What could possibly go wrong?” Then the restaurant date happened, and I was immediately like, oh. OH NO. From that point onward, this movie just bullied me for the rest of its runtime. I was scared, stressed, screaming (my sincerest apologies to everyone else in the theater), and sitting there with my shoulders permanently glued to my ears. The tension is unreal. The lighting? Sick. The atmosphere? Absolutely rancid (complimentary). But. DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE STOP-MOTION MOVEMENT. Whoever came up with that deserves both a raise and jail time because WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???? I don’t think I’ll ever recover. Also, Sarah deserved so much better. She was genuinely one of my favorite characters, and everything that happened to her just made me feel physically weak. “I was to your left.” …and Nikki suddenly on her left too. Bear opened Luther’s letter and found out Sarah had actually been accepted there… yeah, thanks movie, as if I wasn’t suffering enough already. 5/5, would willingly traumatize myself again.

Totally in love with this anthology by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Every stories in each episode has it’s own meaning—has it’s own message that we can learn to. I love many of it’s episode. But my favorite it Ep 7: Nayuta of the Prophecy and Ep 8: Sisters. This series will go to my comfort-film-list. Will rewatch it again someday. ——— —Ep. 1; 5/5 Awalnya ngira episode ini bakal comedy. Pertama kali liat alien tsundere lucu juga. Trus tiba-tiba plot-twist dibalik plot-twist dibalik plot-twist D: Really makes me think about why we can eat animal but can’t eat human, thinking I should be vegan lol. I might do some research regarding this. … poor Yohei tho :( —Ep. 2; 3.5/5 Waktu Sasaki nangkap peluru, rasanya kayak, hah? Tapi pas tau pesan di episode ini, langsung kayak, ohh. Poinnya, di dunia ini gaada yang gabisa, selama kita percaya dan usaha. Nangkap peluru tanpa cidera rasanya tidak masuk akal, tapi bukan berarti peluangnya nol persen. Balik lagi, standar masuk akal yang saya punya mungkin beda dengan standar masuk akal yang Sasaki punya. Karena dia percaya, dia punya peluang. Itu aja sih menurutku. Happy end! —Ep. 5; 5.5 Got me screaming, crying, jumping, dying 😭😭😭😭😭 This is too cute, I can’t handle it. Glad Toshihide got his happy ending, he totally deserves it. —Ep. 6; 3/5 This is funny and cute in it’s own way. I like this episode but the constant crying annoys me 😔 —Ep. 7; 5/5 Nangis banget sumpah 😭 Banyak hal yang dilalui kakaknya agar adiknya baik-baik saja. Ramalannya bisa saja benar jika peran keluarga di kehidupan Nayuta gaada. Perlakuan Nayuta juga sebenarnya punya niat baik, walau Kenji nyadarnya telat. Ya overall good. Full tragedy. I hope they’re doing good after moving out to a smaller area :) —Ep. 8; 5/5 This episode potraying sisterhood perfectly. As an older sister, it’s been tough. Rasanya ada beban untuk make a path way for our little siblings. We must set an example for them. And this is what I feel when I watch this episode. When our siblings gets older, and they start to make they’re own pathways and left us, it feels weird. Proud in the same time. The art elements in this episode is beautiful too. Selalu suka dengan sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan seni. The ending is so good. The way Mitsuko setting her revenge aside to teach Kyoko how to draw her nudes is totally cool.

My top movie at all time (for now). I think I already watch this like, 3-4 times? I don’t remember. But, good thing saya pelupa so I can experience this movie like it’s the first time I’m watching it. I like everything about this movie. The theme, the multiverse, the mom-daughter relationship, the love story, the humour, the taxes, everything. Film ini ngajarin banyak aspek bagi saya; sebagai seorang ibu, seorang anak, dan sebagai pasangan. Evelyn’s life always been in chaos, and she’s trying her best so Joy don’t have to experience that too. But without Evelyn’s knowing, she’s slowly becoming like her father. But, at the end, Raymond help her, always reminding her—to be kind. And, that make her realize, all this time, she’s too used to life in the chaos. Sometimes, apa yang Evelyn anggap terbaik, bukan hal yang Joy inginkan. Personally, I think Joy doesn’t want to be the best, she just want to be accepted as who she is. And, personally, I think the reason Evelyn finally realize what Joy wants, because she also accepted that walau di kehidupan ini adalah versi terburuk dari dirinya, she’s doing it with Raymond—her true love and happiness.

Played this around 2012 - 2015 I think. Playing this again right now really bring nostalgic memories (walau sebenarnya udah lupa sebagian besar storyline-nya). Loved this game! Suka banget dengan gameplay-nya, story-depth-nya, mystery-nya, and I love all the characters! But I like Chihiro the most, lol. Even though he dies in early game, his role really have a big impact on the ending. Banyak banget karakter yang kompleks, so doing Free Time and School Time is totally enjoyable for me. Walau mainnya jadi makan waktu banget, but totally worth it (I've spend 50+ hours on this game alone). Every motive Monokuma reveal in each chapter is totally mindblowing too! Awal main mikir rada naif di beberapa motive, "lah, motive kayak gini emang bakal ada yang buat orang pengen ngebunuh?". But, wow, ternyata ada WKWKWKWKWK. So, I can relate and understand Makoto, since most of the time kita punya pikiran yang sama. -0.5 star because I'M TIRED ON GRINDING MONOCOINS LOL. Will play all edition of this game, and planning on reading the novels and watching the anime too :) Looking forward about how Makoto and others bring back the Hope.

Jujurly bingung mau review apa. Suka sih sama overall film-nya, banyak aspek yang sangat unpredictable dan unexpected. Unsur cult-nya juga dapat. Yaa, okelah. Yang agak bikin meringis, peran Annie dan Peter yang apa ya, cukup tragis menurutku. Alih-alih fokus dengan unsur horornya, malah banyakan ngerasa iba dengan duka yang di rasain Annie dan trauma yang di alami Peter. Yang paling normal di film ini ya cuman si Bapak wkwkwk. Sumpah sih, jadi Peter kasian banget, I think he did nothing wrong. Kejadian di tiang listrik pun jatuhnya malah kasian ke Peter-nya daripada Charlie wkwkw (I don’t like her in the first place). Sorry reviewnya kayak ga niat, jujur gatau mau bilang apa. Recommended sih, apalagi bagi penikmat genre kultus.

Blind-watch this movie because my friends out-of-nowhere ngajak nonton dan ga ngasih tau mau nonton film apa. But because I have zero expectation—I don’t event know that this film is about zombies—turns out filmnya bagus banget. I’ve seen people feel dissapointed on this film bcs they expect something like ‘Train to Busan’, but unfortunately, film ini bukan sesuatu yang ‘se-simple’ Train to Busan. Kompleksitas pada zombie di film ini udah another level, they can evolve, learn, communicate. Yang bikin kurang menurutku ada beberapa karakter yang rasanya ga terlalu diperkenalkan dengan baik, si Mas Security dan si anak sekolahan misalnya. Unnecessary death too, misalnya mantan suami si MC. OH, and I really hate that bully girl—tapi ya tipikal film Korea sih, seringnya ada satu karakter yang dibuat ngeselin biar penonton emosi aja. But overall, I really like this movie. Konsep zombienya fresh, even the acting of the zombies is incredible—this movie makes me want to know about the ants better. The revenge arc is badass too. Don’t forget about the wife - ex-wife teamwork, the husband is dead so kalian pacaran aja WKWKWKKWK.

I think I’m not ready to be a parent yet bcs if my child is missing in 8 years and coming back like that, I’ll pretend I didn’t know her. Got me huek huek dari awal film sampe akhir. Tapi paling trauma di scene potong kuku wkwkwk. Worst nightmare. Ga tau mau review apa lagi, overall puas banget dengan endingnya. The sacrifice, the revenge, chef kiss. Agak kaget sih Katie sehat wal’afiat dengan kondisi punya riwayat di kuliti sebadan-badan. Love the grandma tho, always positive. AND DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE POLICE. Finally the useful one. Her dedication save the family, walau nyaris mati juga sih. But her in the ending scene totally badass. … poor Layla.

Another work from Mamoru Hoshida that I love. From my perspective, this movie is about forgiveness and acceptance. Setelah nonton, rasanya diberi harapan terhadap dunia yang lebih baik. Hijiri’s kindness bikin kagum, walau ada beberapa momen kebaikannya terasa naif, wkwkwk. I don’t know why many people hate the ‘La La Land’ scene lol. I think that’s one of many reason Scarlet understand what her father meant by ‘forgive’. Because that is her another version if she wasn’t full anger and grudge (tapi di timeline yang berbeda wkwk). Ngerti banget kenapa Scarlet bisa jatuh cinta ke Hijiri, walau rasanya chemistry mereka bisa diperdalam andai movie ini jadi series. Overall good lah, animasinya juga banyak yang manjain mata. Kombinasi antara 2D dan 3D-nya bagus, walau ada sedikit scene yang agak kaku. I’m adding this too my comfort-movie-collections. Definetely will watch it again :)

I’m too used watching thriller, mystery, and horror movies, so this film is very refreshing. I like Doc and Tony’s dynamic, they’re two polar opposites lol. Ibarat murid teladan dan berandalan di satu tim yang sama, gimana ga chaos wkwk. I love when Doc tries to enjoy things like Tony. And I’m touched by Tony’s effort to make Doc’s feel welcomed. Konfiknya tbh agak berat ya, racism ke kulit gelap. Doc must have been through a lot. Tapi keren sih, apapun yang dia alami, he’s always make sure to show his dignity to others. I don’t have much to say for this movie. I enjoy it a lot. The music too, I think I might starting to like Jazz. Sepanjang movie ketawa terus, jokes-nya masuk di saya.

My first auditory horror film watch from A24. Selalu suka dengan karya dari A24, that’s why when the trailer of this movie comes up, I’m getting excited. I was terrified while watching this film (and fyi, I rarely feel terrified watching horror films). Suasananya, suaranya, konfliknya, semua bikin tegang. Evy, karakter utamanya, I think she might be a bit stressed karena kondisi mamanya. Including the unwanted pregnancy also. Hipotesa saya, she’s intrigued after hearing about Abyzou, dan mikir, “oh, this demon maybe can help me!”. Atau bisa juga, karena emang dia orang yang skeptikal ya (karakter skeptiknya udah keliatan dari awal film sih), ngerasa kalau semua audio ini sekarar jokes belaka so dia ga terlalu mikir gimana-gimananya. But I’d like to stick with hipotesa pertama to add extra seasoning to the film lol. This film had an open ending, too. Penonton dibuat menerka-nerka terkait apa yang terjadi oleh Evy after the screen goes black. Tapi, kalau menurut saya pribadi, she’s been ‘killed’ by her possessed mother, by making her fall down the stairs since there’s many ‘THUDS’ after Evy screams calling her Mama. But yea, ada beberapa momen yang buat saya kesal dengan karakter Evy. Poor Justin lol.

Watched this, like 2-3 times before, maybe on 2024. Rewatched it today and I’ve forgotten most part of the story—feels good cause I can experience it like it’s the first time I’m watching it lol. Agak bingung ngikutin awal ceritanya, banyak yang terjadi jadi harus nyimak banget. Saya pribadi ngebagi film ini jadi 2 part; part pertama yang si roh pendendam, part kedua si roh penunggu asal Jepang itu. Di part 1, konfliknya terjadi hanya gara-gara kelakuan satu orang tamak. Udah di wanti-wanti, udah di sogok juga, masih aja petinya dibuka. Jadilah roh pendendam ini keluar dari peti dan ngebunuh keturunannya satu-satu. Tapi ya untuk keturunan paling akhir masih bisa selamat. Part 2 kinda creeps me out. Tinggi banget weh 2 meter lebih kayaknya wkwkwk. Ini agak bikin greget sih. Posisi petinya udah aneh, gede, masih aja berani di ganggu. Tapi ya kalo ga gitu, cerita ga jalan wkwkw. Di part ini juga jadi banyak belajar feng shui, lol. Film-nya happy ending juga, konfliknya selesai dengan baik jadinya gada yang ganjel menurutku. Note: Ada Geto Suguru cuy 🫪

Jujur, this movie is creepy and really straight-forward to me. Karakter Ohm di awal film rasanya penuh misteri. But the movie uncover his character bit by bit, walau rasanya masih ada beberapa hal yang ngegantung. The tension on this movie is unnerving, the ‘ghost’ totally creeps me out. Tapi, kalau di pikir-pikir, ada banyak pertanyaan yang muncul that left unanswered. Hantu yang muncul di awal scene itu siapa? Gimana bisa ada witch yang tinggal di basement hotel? Setelah kebakaran, witch-nya gimana? What caused Fiona’s death? If Fiona got dragged by the witch, kenapa badannya masih ada sedangkan Mag bener-bener hilang without a trace? Entahlah saya yang kurang nyimak apa gimana Dx

Apa ya, bingung…. Beberapa aspek yang saya suka dari film ini; tension bulding-nya bagus, misterinya bagus, temanya bagus—jarang dapat film yang ngangkat cerita pemandi jenazah soalnya. Jumpscare-nya juga oke kok, ga yang dipaksain, natural ngikutin alur cerita. Awal sampai pertengahan film, oke keren. Tapi pas masuk ke third section of the film, rasanya kayak di buru-buruin. Banyak pertanyaan yang ga terjawab. Bener kah hal yang dituduhkan ke Bu Nur? Kondisi Rika gimana setelah ending? Kenapa Terry ga mati? 🙂 I mean, semua konflik di film ini, gara-gara moncongnya Terry anjir. Yaa, overall kecewa di ending-nya aja sih. Rasanya masih bisa di poles jadi lebih bagus. Oh ya, rasanya di film ini karakter laki-laki—kecuali Arif; if you know what I mean—dibuat ga guna semua wkwkwk, jadinya agak kasian juga.Untuk standar Indo, film ini menurutku udah bagus sih. Akan jadi salah satu film rekomendasi ku ke orang-orang yang suka horror lokal 👍

Having high expectation since I’ve seen the review of this movie on social medias and I think this might be worth to give a shot. I never saw a horror movie with VR as the theme, so this got me in the first half, not gonna lie. The story behind the ‘mudborn’ is unique too. The exorcism too, rasanya kayak lagi nonton Jujutsu Kaisen, lol. I think in JJK universe, the mudborn is a middle grade curse. Filmnya slow-pacedddd banget, bikin ngantuk. Kadang jumpscare-nya juga kayak, out of nowhere aja. Gada build-up tension sebelum setannya muncul, so the jumpscare is useless I think. Cara si MC (forgot his name lol) bantu Ah-Cheng buat ngarahin letak rumah TKP juga kayak ga banget. Pake VR jirr, aneh banget gabungannya. Kayak maksa. Beberapa scene juga nunjukin si VR company ini make AI dibeberapa aspek. Ga relevan sih dengan storynya, but rasanya kayak cringey aja. Also the last scene ada plot-twistnya. Si MC ini ternyata masih hidup??? Lalu adik dari mending kakak pembuat tanah liat juga kayak ada niat terselubung??? Ah-Cheng yang masih nyari sisa 3 jimat lagi??? Kayaknya film ini bakal ada lanjutannya nanti. Who knows?

Sorry not sorry buat low rating-nya, karena menurutku emang ga bagus. Pelayanannya buruk, karyawan serba jutek, geraknya lambat banget. Gas abis harus oper-operan dulu dengan karyawannya buat ganti baru. Kuah abis juga case-nya sama. Senyumnya gada sama sekali (kecuali yang di kasir sih). Dagingnya abis terus, tiap mau ambil daging harus war dulu dengan pembeli yang lain. Variannya juga dikit banget. Pilihan sukinya terbatas, side dish-nya dingin semua. Minuman rasanya hampir hambar, dessert-nya kayak basi. No comment deh ah. 1.5 untuk tempatnya yang luas dan harganya menurutku lumayan murah, sekitaran 110.000/pax including tax (tapi ada kok AUCE lain yang harganya sama tapi hospitality-nya lebih BETTER). Oh iya, photobox-nya juga harus payment di kasir, jadi harus antri lagi. Baru pertama kalo nemu photobox yang payment-nya ga by QRIS. Yaudah deh ya, atleast bisa hangout sama temen-temen. Seru sih. Tapi kayaknya gabakal kesini lagi. Totally not worth it dan not recommended :)

Is this a fuckin’ ragebait? If yes then this movie has done a great job. 1 star for James McAvoy great acting. Everything else (except Ant and Louise) is a disaster–especially Ben. Useless husband.
