i kept on seeing clips of the show whenever i go to tiktok, youtube, and instagram, so i finally took it upon myself and watched it. i enjoyed it for the comedy, and i like how robert freeman (the grandad) reminds me of any family member i have. maybe it's a little weird to say that i'm tolerant to being told off, and to say what he's doing is funny. i also like how huey and riley are both opposites, yet the compliment each other in a way.

when i look back to this (considering i watched this around 9th grade) the main reason why i picked up this anime was because of dazai. and the more i watched the series, i came to appreciate the way that all the characters here are real life authors and their powers are actually the books that they've written! it takes me back to memory lane talking about this, and it would always feel like home.

i mainly picked up hellsing because of alucard, lol. i can't deny i'm a sucker for vampires and vampiric-looking dudes! other than that, it's just about the hellsing organization that fights off supernatural threats like vampires to protect england, and him serving and protecting integra.

a group of intelligent children who discover their orphanage is actually a farm and is raising them to become "high-quality meat" for demons to consume. the whole premise of it surrounds how emma, ray, and norman (the trio that was considered the smarter ones) devise a plan to escape, while going through hurdles. i dropped it after finishing the 1st season, and i didn't bother watching the 2nd season because i heard then they don't follow the manga? i mainly watched this because one of my friends kept using this anime as a reference, and i couldn't get it.

i did some reflection, and i was really thinking about deactivating some of my socials because it's starting to annoy me that i tend to linger in rotation to social media for short-term entertainment. i've also long noticed that it keeps hindering my work — because i got so used to the short posts, reels, drama posted that i just leech into it because i find it temporary and i'll just forget about it. i never got to finish those books and series that i picked up since then because of it. i don't know if i am firm about this decision yet — i may or may not ask others for their opinions on this, but at the end of the day, the decision is mine to make. i still appreciate those who reach out and/or give their two cents on this matter.

i feel a sense of relief whenever i come across videos on tiktok sharing their experiences with family, especially when it comes to "mothers" like mine. growing up alone despite having a full house is one thing no one, not alone a child, should ever go through. but, at least i now feel confident and accepted in some way that there are other people that can say the same. in the near future, i don't have to look back to them since i don't owe them anything once i am "fully independent". but, i don't know about how i will make up some excuses and whatever it is whenever they're going to ask for help for now. maybe i'll get it sorted out when that time comes. right now, i am fully happy whenever i am in dumaguete, and i am slowly coming back to enjoying things i used to like. i even started to pick up on drawing a few days ago when i was back at my hometown (i refuse to call it home). stress is [medyo ma considered normal, but i know it's not] still there, but i'l try not to overdo it.
