listening to this song brings me immense comfort. Fiona is such a brilliant songwriter. every line she writes is a full story with so much depth and rich emotion

This is a body of work that’s pouring with love, passion and courage to break the standards of mainstream pop. it really been AWHILE since i’ve loved every minute of an album this much on a first listen, the classical compositions and instrumentals and Rosalia’s vocal performance are all insanely beautiful. i can confidently say this is the best album of 2025 so far. stand out tracks:

always loved Coraline growing up and I finally got a chance to read the book. I can understand how can someone read this and immediately wants to make a whole animated film about it. the descriptions of the world make such a vivid image, and the illustrations added a beautifully haunting touch that I loved. one of my favorite moments in the book has to be Coraline telling the story of her dad saving her from wasps. it shows beautifully where she got her immense courage from.

Jeff Buckley is one of the most underrated vocalists. He uses his voice like an instrument so masterfully. May his soul rest in peace 🙏🏼

EEAAO is so close to my heart, from the beautiful cinematography to the amazing performances and dialogue, everything about this film was crafted with so much care. i ADORE Evelyn and Joy’s relationship, it’s such a beautiful representation of how complicated and deep the mother-daughter love can be, the final scene between them never fails to make me cry :( my favorite character might be Joy/Jobu Tupaki. honestly Jobu Tupaki has a lot of my favorite lines, “Feels nice, doesn't it? If nothing matters, then all the pain and guilt you feel for making nothing of your life goes away. Sucked, Into, A bagel...” this line alone captured depression and how it can trap us in a nihilistic worldview that justifies destroying ourselves and hurting our loved ones so well. also, “Not a single moment will go by without every other universe screaming for your attention. Never fully there. Just a lifetime of fractured moments… With only a few specks of time where anything actually makes any sense.” GOD, I LOVE THIS ONE, it’s so haunting and a perfect portrayal of regret that keeps building up in our hearts with each unfulfilling decision that we make.

It's been a while since I last watched this, and honestly it’s even better than I remembered. to me the book is still superior but that doesn’t take away from how amazing this adaptation was! The animation is absolutely stunning and really brought the world of the book to life! and the storytelling is incredible!
