Inside Mari
웹 콘텐츠
Reviewing one of Oshimi Shu-zo works: Inside Mari ☆ My first read of his work was Blood on the Tracks, and that was during high school. Yes, I'm still traumatized! : D But this year I decided to read another work of his. A story about... identity and desolation, about Mari! One day, a strange thing happened to Isao Komori. He was just a regular guy who decided to stop attending class and spend his time playing video games and read mangas all day... but today, he woke up and finds out that he is now inside the body of the girl he likes, Mari. Isao figured out how it's like living as a girl. He tried so hard not to ruin Mari's life and act naturally. Nah, asumsi Isao dan readers pada umumnya tuh, pasti si Mari yang asli itu ada di badannya Isao, kan? Body swap thing? Tapi ternyata enggak. Mari is nowhere be found X _ X That's when the mystery starts! He teamed up with Mari's classmate to find her, tapi satu masalah demi masalah lainnya kept coming at him, sampai akhirnya he finds out the truth about what ACTUALLY happened with him and Mari. Yes, plot twists incoming! Si mangaka sempet curhat di volume-volume awal about wanting to be a girl and experience life as a girl and that insight gave me an outlook about what is this manga is going to be like, and I'm not disappointed at all! Meskipun super depressing, tapi manga ini tuh happy ending (setidaknya menurutku). For me, it's about self concept? In this case, Mari. It seems like nobody actually knows her even Mari herself. It's like she was never there at all and people have been creating her inside their minds. Entah kenapa, di akhir-akhir, genre-nya jadi horror...? Tapi, tapi!!! This is certainly not everyone's cup of tea karena di dalamnya ada banyak tema vulgar and obscene panels, the author didn't even bother to censor it... so yes, harus dibaca dengan bijak!!! But other than that, I enjoyed reading each volumes. I'm satisfied enough with the ending because at the end of the day, it's all about the existence of Mari. I wanna give her so many hugs :' ) Sekian cuap-cuap manga bacaanku hari ini, intinya seru sekali dan mindblowing! Oshimi Shu-zo arigato~ I think his most notable work is Aku no Ha-na, but I haven't read it....... I'll put it on my read list, though! Katanya cuma ada 11 volume, that's like, the entirety of CSM part 1 (......gak bisa sehari gak ngomongin censawmen), jadi akan aku cicil baca nanti :D It's always nice to have a thing to look forward. That's all for Yuki's manga review today! Matane~

My Devilishly Sweet Girlfriend
웹 콘텐츠
I consume yuri media as well, so I thought why not make reviews/blogs of the yuri mangas I've read? I'll start from this one because it's probably my first ever femme x femme yuri, hehe. The english title is exactly as what written in the beginning of this blog, My Devilishly Sweet Girlfriend (あくまであまい私の彼女/Akumade Amai Watashi no Kanojo) by Yatosaki Haru. Let's start! (Might contain spoilers ahead, read with caution.) It's the trope you guys probably have also already read before, devil x human. Mai is a human girl who works at a dessert cafe and Lily is a succubus who consumes human's energy/life force. They met when Lily became a new worker at Mai's place. It doesn't take long for Mai to finds out that Lily is a devil, lol. It's literally revealed on the very first chapter. From the get-go, I had a feeling this manga will be a quick read with a very fast pacing. It's later revealed in the final chapter notes from the author that they're used making short mangas before and this is their first long run, so it makes sense. Despite that, I still really love it. Every chapter is exactly as what the title made you think, sweetness overload!!! It's also very cute because in almost each chapter you can find a recipe page of parfaits and the other desserts related to it. This manga is so my type~ ♡ Mai and Lily's personalities are contrasting each other. Mai is like those protagonists you see on drama genres, you might say "too soft" and "overly kind", but actually I think she can be selfish as well. She's also very shy and reserved, very considerate. Unlike Mai, Lily is veeery much flashy, more cheerful and confident. She's a succubus after all, so she seduces lots, I MEAN LOTS of humans. She always says what's on her mind and behaves accordingly. In short, she's very extroverted compared to Mai. But that doesn't mean she can't keep boundaries and maintain a relationship, based on everything that's going on between her and Mai. Despite both preferring cute and feminine things, they kinda represent angel and devil... Mai is so clean and tidy and thorough meanwhile Lily... yeah. But I really like Lily, she's the best. There are some suggestive scenes as well, by 'some' I mean lots of them, due to Lily's straight-forward character hahaha. You'll see many scenes of them blushing and sweating nervously but there's not really much clear scenes of what they're doing after those steamy conversations (they talk dirty a lot, really) so I think it's still behind the safe line XD but they both are so cute I'm sobbing. You'll see characters like Mai's ex-girlfriend and Lily's mom that kind of hinders their relationship, but I'm glad Mai and Lily are so stubborn to be with each other. They're like stupidly in love despite whatever's storm is coming after them and I love them for that. Lily will just scream "we're on a date we're lovers" (more like, "please get lost we don't like men shoo shoo") when there's a bunch of men approaching them HAHAHA. And she also puts people on their place quickly, probably she's not afraid of any possible consequences because of her power as a devil. Oh to be Lily... The problem is actually there from the very beginning. This whole human and devil relationship is forbidden, it's more like a contract. And Lily already gave a warning that a human will go die and go to hell when they make contracts with a devil, but as what I said, Mai is just so in love. You'll start doubting like did Mai really love her or is it just Lily's power successfully conquering over her? But don't worry, the angst doesn't really linger that much. All of the worst possible outcomes will just vanish (although it's clear the author is playing around with your heart lol) so it's a relief... I really need a fluffy yuri after all the tragic yuri I've been... haha. So yes, they find a solution to their relationship at the very end! Really recommend it to anyone out there who's searching for a light-hearted fem x fem yuri. My warning would just be that it contains so much sweetness (Lily's possessiveness, Mai's swooning over her) and dirty talk scenes so you need to get ready be used to that in each chapter, hehe. Would love to read more from this author next time. That's all for now, bye bye! Yuki signing out~ ☆✌🏻

There are many amazing Undergirls songs, but this one is my top favorite. I was first hooked by how beautiful the melody is especially in the chorus, but I fell even harder the moment I read the lyrics. It's about loving someone despite their imperfections... and don't laugh at me, but I cried to this a few times. To think that this song is written for the Undergirls, it's just so touching. To people who doesn't know The Undergirls of 48G, basically, it's the team that's in charge of performing B-sides of 48 songs. They are the girls who ranked around 22th - 30th, in other words, almost entering the senbatsu lineup (girls who perform A-sides). The lyrics in this song are just toooooo good, and there are a few lines that I really like! 君がいい どんな世界中の美女たちより 比べられないくらい (I like you the most I can't even compare you to all the beautiful women in the world) Or like, you're the best in this whole world...I like you so much, don't even think I could compare you to anyone. So just any other 48 songs, they tell you the setting or the story of the song. In this song you're a highschooler who sets an eye to this particular girl. She's not showy, not the type to draw attention from people. But somehow, you're trapped into her. 陽射しのように穏やかな微笑みに 癒されるんだ どんな時ものんびりでマイペースな ぼーっとしたタイプ (I am healed by your quiet smile that looks like sunrays You are the type who spaces out and does anything at your own pace all the time) Despite everything, every single thing about her makes you fell harder. And you know what... I also like to think that this is about the unconditional love from a fan to their idols. Some may not realize their charms, but you did, and although you knew about their imperfections, you keep on cheering and supporting them. This is just the perfect song for the Undergirls :' D the sense!!!!! 伝わるだろうか? 切ない僕のこの気持ち 誰がどう言ったって 最高に好きだ (Will it reach you? My painful feelings No matter what anyone might say I love you the most) And last but not least, the heart-wrenching bridge part. I feel so comforted by this line. Somewhere out there, someone will love you for just who you are. Sorezore no value! I will love this song forever.

"Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all." Best movie of all time, opens my eye about life, the definition of cinema! If anyone asks me for movie recommendation, this will be the first one that pops in my mind.

"It's more than a crush" My favorite part of the song is the bridge, specifically Ryo's part. His voice can heal people. "온 세상이 전부 다 너야 내 마음 위 작은 빗방울이" (My whole world is you The small raindrops on my heart) And then Jaehee comes along while hitting the high note expressing how he didn't want it (the feeling) to stop, this is a peak song to be honest. I remember the day they released the snippets of the album tracks vividly. Everyone is talking about it and I just found out an interesting thing, this specific track called Crush has dual titles, with the Korean title being 여우비 (Fox Rain)! Why fox, you ask? There's a Japanese folklore regarding the sunshower phenomenon. It's called Kitsune no Yomeiri. They said the foxes are doing a wedding ceremony in the mountains and conjured the weather using their magic to prevent humans from following them. So during a sunny day, when it suddenly rains, people would just say those kitsunes are having a wedding procession. I remember it clear as day, the snippet they have shown was the intro part. I swear, it sounds very magical... it sounds like drops of rain. What I like the most about this track is the lyrics. I think it's just sweet to describe that fluttering feeling—that crush—with a strange phenomenon. Albeit saying it's "cheesy" and "I want to get rid of this', it's like saying "I want to stay under this sunshower for as long as I can, forever". They acknowledged that it's unusual and new, but they believed it's "more than a crush" : ) which is real cute. Is this song also can be categorized as emotional pop? I don't know... but really, this is really my type of song. The chorus part is reaaally great, too. WISH songs have unexplainable methods that makes you want to tear up when you listen to their songs. I love how they always have interesting allegories to describe their feelings... such a #me thing to do, honestly. The instrumentals are so pretty. This song weirdly feels familiar at first listen, and I don't think I'll stop listening to this beautiful track anytime soon. "I'm falling in love..."
