i feel like you never noticed how my eyes linger, how they slowly shift along your direction, i look straight ahead, never wavering yet my heart skips a beat when you're in my field of vision, in the corner of my eye, there you stay in my heart, you take the whole damn space. i see you, i see you, i see you, i know you think i don't because i don't stay for too long in conversations, and i don't say enough for you to drag on, i wanna cross the line, but you and i know that won't be feasible. i wonder if you see me too, your eyes; framed and beautiful sometimes look directly at me, eye to eye, i'm surprise how brave you are, to look right at my sharp gaze that leads people in a daze. can't you see, darling? without glasses, you are the only clear thing in sight, the only apple of my eye.

last saturday, i joined a photojournalism competition in a nearby barangay, however, i did not win. who won? photographers or "pitikirs" lol, this has always been such a prevalent topic in social media lately, how people who are not journalist gets credited and awarded for things that veteran journalist have been doing for ages, i told myself, this is probably what Kara David felt when she saw Ivana Alawi winning that award, lol. the problem as well is that the masses don't know anything about what journalist do and why it's important, these so-called photographers just take a good "cinematographic" picture and think it's journalism, people see such photogenic pictures and think, yeah, it's journalism, sure, part of photojournalism is getting good pictures but not just good pictures but pictures with stories, moments, emotion.

yesterday, our publication went to PTV DavNor to conduct a benchmarking there where we learned so many stuff such as writing news, radio broadcasting, photojournalism, and video editing. we learned so much while being there, the people or speakers were so kind and accommodating. i can't wait to be able to apply this knowledge in my life as i continue be a student journalist and i hope i would still be able to carry them even beyond the walls of the university.

life has been so hectic lately since i started my internship last monday. i was so anxious at first, i didn't know what to expect or look out for, it was basically going head first into the unknown. i wasn't sure if i would get along with my cooperating teacher, wasn't sure if my co-interns and i would get along, wasn't sure of the student's behaviour, and most especially wasn't sure if i'll be able to handle everything. i haven't been completely comfortable yet but i have good things to say at least. my CTs are very nice, chill, and understanding, all the other teachers are accomodating, and my co-interns are very friendly, despite the many ups and downs and the unexpected things that have happened during the first and second day, there's always a good thing to look after for. i hope that my experience will shape me into a better teacher and person altogether. and that i will come to cherish these memories in spite of everything.

i'm part of the student publication in my school and today we just had our auditions for new members which we call, "chainstellation," our logo or hand sign is a chain, symbolizing the link of people but at the same time how stories and information connect people together. i didn't manage to arrive early this morning because i was sooo tired yesterday but i arrived just afternoon, right on time for the participant's interview.
