I finally found a way to watch it. I got hooked on this film when I was a kid, and even though it's been a long time since then, I'm rekindling my love for it. This is the third week, maybe. Still, I can't stop being excited, and I'm enjoying how well these two match and how much fun they are having with each character's words. I watched the first episode earlier today and realized that John's adrenaline junkie difference is quite a bit to watch as an adult. Trying to live with curiosity is a bit difficult for an adult who has acquired cowardice.

The last time I saw this film was when I was a much younger child, so I think I still had little awareness of the message the film was presenting at that time. Well, I still got the interpretation as a child, but the good thing about Ghibli is that the impression of the work changes depending on the age of the viewer. When Ashitaka returns the head, he says, “I want to return it by human hands,” which made me think of the fundamental idea in Japanese culture that values mystical formality.

I was overwhelmed at times by the way the film captured the transformation of the graceful, delicate White Swan as her ambition consumed her, turning her into the Black Swan. But rather than being “dyed” black, I saw it as two sides of the same coin—her darker self had always been there, and in the end, she fully embraced and even controlled it. When she bled on stage yet still whispered, “I felt it, perfect,” I couldn’t help but applaud. Her fragility, her obsession with perfection, and the way she expressed the final moment of her pursuit were breathtaking. It was delicate yet intense, and I was completely captivated.
