I stan a woman who knows what she wants. Kahit mahal niya si Chen Yayun, hindi yun sapat para ipagpalit ang kalayan niya. Kaya naman talaga pumayag siya dahil napatunayan ni Yanyun na itatrato siya bilang equal at nakita niya kung paano igalang no Yanyun ang desisyon niya. Para naman sa mga nagsasabing mas deserve ni Ye Xian si Gu Jinzhao, red flag enjoyer siguro kayo. 😭 Imagine whipping a woman because she didn't show up in the restaurant where you're supposed to meet and then pointing a sword at her when you learned that she's getting married? Although He and Jinzhao is very much alike, Ye Xian's temper will only contradict Jinzhao's. If ever they really get married, they will only grow to hate each other. What Jinzhao needs is someone who is mature and is willing to listen to her and not someone who has an exploding temper. Also, if she ever choose Ye Xian, she will have to settle being a concubine as Ye Xian doesn't have enough power to decide for his own marriage.

OKAYYYYY. Hand up 🙌🙌🙌🙌 for Ilya and Shane's commitment with whatever their set up is. 7 years?????!!!!!!! GIRLLLLL. That's even longer than my relationships combined. You deserve all the happiness in this world. I love how their relationship progressed tho. And my heart broke my Ilya was talking to Shane during the east vs west game. My baby thought that Shane is probably getting married or something and notice how his mood suddenly improved after Shane revealed that it's not? They are just a sweetheart. I swear. Anyway, Scott and Kip... I'm happy for you. Yeah, you also deserve it but I have questions. Especially your convo... IF I WERE KIP I WOULDN'T LOOK BACK, THAT'S SUS SCOTT. I don't think it's a good starter convo. BUTTTT THE ANNOUNCEMENT???? MY BABY DESERVES THAT SCOTT. Pahinging Lin Yusen. Ito ang prayer ko ngayon. Grabeng green flag yan sis. Ang problema lang rito medyo boring kasi walang masyadong angst. Ang maganda naman dito, the female lead knows how to stand her ground. Even the "antagonists" are very realistic.

I remember watching this when I was in high school during one of my field trip. I love how complex the characters are. I love Juli! Especially her principles. I love how mature she is but at the same time she's also idealistic. She's quirky. I hope she never lose it when she grew up. Also, I'll never forget Bryce, how he matured is one of the things that I looked forward in the movie. Special mentioned to Juli's parents for discussing their issue with Juli and clarifying that it's not Juli's fault that they fought. It's really important for the children to understand it to avoid them blaming themselves and also adding to the generational trauma.

I really love Kim Dokja. Words can't express how he became my favorite character. I just relate to him so much especially how he anchored himself in reading books to escape reality because reality was too cruel for him. In some way, it validated my feelings that my coping mechanism is not a weakness but rather a sign of resilience. Really loved how the author described how fiction gave him a sanctuary and meaning.

Maganda rin. Grabe yung kapit nito sakin HAHAHAHA pero baka di ko na ulit papanoorin sa sobrang slow burn. Kita rin pala yung growth nila saka yung friendship na solid kaya gusto ko ito. Miski side characters walang tapon. Realistic yung relationships nung side characters (yung sa bida rin naman). Ang problema lang rito? Dulo na lang nung cdrama iisipin mo pa kung sila ba talaga yung magkakatuluyan. 😭
