sometimes a realistic ending is way more fulfilling to someone than just living happily ever after together this movie capturea almost all my fears in relationships, i've always feared being a burden to my partner and it keeps me wondering what if what if what if, an endless circle of emotions and tears dropping almost all the time because the smallest tension or the slightest change in emotions would leave me overthinking for days, i fear we would stain our sadness and failure on each other when one's own misery already stuffing their faces.. sometimes letting go is the best thing you could do for someone you once loved dearly

feeling like talking since i can't really seem to say everything i want to say in letterboxd so.. don't really know what to feel about this show it feels like they all need to go to therapy, i love complicated characters so much but they were complicated in a way that felt really boring and bland so much time passes but so little character development can be seen you could pretty much tell what's going to happen next when you're watching cause it had the same pattern going on and on for almost half of the show it only started to move a little around episode 8 or something connell was mentally exhausted they could've portrayed his character in a deeper way but rather they made him seem so simple connell was a coward he was very afraid for his school mates to know that he's in love with the school "freak", a person most of people in school despise so he'd rather act like he doesn't love her at all he saw his friends humiliating and bullying her but never moved he was too scared to show up for her the only time he actually stood up for her was when her brother actually hit her and you could see the fear in him doing that still connell loved marrianne more than he loved himself and so did she but they never communicated they just avoid it, not talk for a while and then come back like nothing happened the only thing i liked about the show was that no matter how many new people they meet it always circles back to each other
