first things first, i LOVE Intan Paramaditha's writing style. karena aku juga suka puisi, menurutku cara beliau memilih diksi tuh indah banget. every sentence feels so intentional. her writing is subtle, penuh makna, and somehow it stays with u long after u finish the book.
awalnya aku ngira ini bakal jadi novel horor tentang hantu. i mean... js look at the title and the cover, ternyata aku salah besar. it's still horror, but not the ghost kind. it's the horror of being human. the horror of society. and honestly? that's way scarier.
novel ini juga ngebahas banyak isu yang cukup berat dan kompleks like, gothic feminism, patriarki, agama, LGBTQ+, dan masih banyak lagi. semuanya disampaikan secara tersirat, jadi ini bukan tipe buku yang bisa dibaca sambil lewat. u really have to pay attention, read between the lines, and sit with every story.
nggak bohong, i genuinely enjoyed this one. it's thought-provoking, beautifully written, and definitely one of those books that makes u reflect long after the last page. i'll give it a solid 9/10. definitely worth reading.
