bro my pants were all wet from my round trip from the cafe to the hotel to grab my jacket then back to the cafe absolute nightmarish weather i was also so tired throughout the day :( two cups of coffee didn't do a thing to me anyway, we (attempted) to climb a moutain and took some photos before coming back down to chill at heytea

arrived with mid weather, then we checked into our hotel and it started pouring :( we ate lunch and decided to visit a cafe with very vintage design (and cats 😉) we sat and just chill for an entire afternoon before dinner

my friend had to visit this egypt exhibition at the palace musuem for her art project, and since ive been meaning to go as well, i was like welp what are we waiting for? ngl, kinda disappointing, mainly because i've seen similar pieces in the british musuem as well as the lourve, and most importantly, the photos my mom and sister took when they went to egypt (i couldn't go due to personal reasons and i still regret it til this day :( nevertheless, i am just glad i got to spend time with my friend as always :)

we ate. we drank coffee. we sat by a seaside and chat. the period cramps sucked tho :( but its ok, i was with my mommy :)

one good thing to have came about in february i'm (ofc) not the one playing the game, because 1) it's so expensive 2) i don't think i'll make it out alive, so i am watching a full walkthrough of the game instead one hour in and we've got 8 more to go, but i'm not in a rush :) 1st update: leon is so baby girl <3 victor said "or we can begin your treatment" and he would be like "the silent treatment i hope" ugh i love leon's idgaf era, 49 yr old kennedy truly is superior. his looks and attitude, ah, absolute chefs kiss 2nd update: i didnt think resident evil could break me but here we are when leon stepped into the rpd, those flashbacks of re2, i swear to god i felt like a dagger went straight through my heart. it instantly brought me back to the summer of 2019 when i first discovered the franchise and fell in love with it. so yeah, it ruined me. the banner, marvin's name plate, oh boy oh boy, i had to pause the video for 10 mins to sob. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ final note: soooo i finished watching it, and dare i must say that was a real ride. again, i have so much to say but i'll try to cut it short. i really love the way they brought leon back to his roots, where it all began for him, only flaw is that claire wasn't mentioned or involved in the game, though i do kind of understand why since she is working for terrasave and sherry and leon are working for the dso instead. the thing that makes me come back for more is the continuation of the classic characters, leon, chris, claire, ada, jill and so on. they expand their storylines alongside callbacks to past events. in this instance, leon went back to racoon city, the place where it all started for him, and the reason why he is still doing what he is doing: trying to save as many people as he can, over and over again, even if it meant that he would die in the process. however, as an audience (and someone who writes), i feel like this is where it ends for him, not death, but where he, in a way, retires from the frontline. the subtle hint of him being married i feel is the perfect way to wrap up his journey. unlike most fans though, i do not care who he is married to, because i don't think that's the main point. for me, i think this is a sign where he has decided that this is where his career ends for him, 28 years of him living selflessly for others, he is finally going to settle down. he has taken down (i pray) the last of umbrella, he found the cure for his syndrome and for sherry, and he went back to where his career started, a sort of closure for his past, for his younger self. now, he is going to put that weight that he's been carrying on his shoulders for decades and move forward for himself, for his potential family. overall, i think the way the devs executed grace's characyer was better than expected. in the interview where one of them said how playing only as leon just wouldn't feel like a horror game anymore because dude's been doing this for almost 30 years now, he is beyond experienced and it would've been all action and no thrill. so the switch up between grace and leon's perspectives allowed us to experience two polar opposite feelings throughout the game and in a way, made it more challenging. people who shit on grace in a non-joking way honestly need to stfu. for someone who has never faced such terror before, i genuinely thought she handled it so so so so well. the amount of dead bodies and monsters and blood and gore she saw (and was dipped in, yuck) is enough to traumatize anyone for a lifetime. imagine being thrown into an environment like this for the first time? yeah, i don't think i would last for more than 10 mins. we should be more empathetic towardspeople, especially the world we live in right now. anyhow, that was my review, i just realized i didn't exactly cut it short whoops. and here below are my favorite moments from the game. hey leon? thank you. you did well.

im sad that i didnt get to watch the 4d version cuz i wanted to feel the wind of the desert as well :( but all in all, good movie with good action. listen, i don't watch action movies alright, they're not my cup of tea. i love human interaction that doesn't involve violence, but occasional violence doesn't hurt... right 😁 (DISCLAIMER: IN MOVIES ONLY) so i am in no place to comment on the action part. the dialogue on the other hand? not bad at all, i think mainly because it was adapted from a manhwua, and so there was a foundation in which they could lean on. i decided to watch the movie mainly because i knew very clearly each of the actor in the cast were experienced in action (annnnd because i've never watched yu shi in action so i thought, this is it, i need to see him on the big screen) and they weren't just paying an insane amount to famous actors who knew nothing about action. too tired to talk more about the movie tho. good movie with decent action, of course there were unrealistic parts, for example when dao ma and diting were battling in the sand storm, bruh it's literally impossible to exist in a sandstorm let alone fight someone in it. but then again, we don't question movie logic ;)

welp it's officially chinese new year week gotta attend so so so many lunches and dinners with relatives and theres gonna be so much talking and fake laughing 97% introverted person needs to mentally prepare herself for this thank god i met up with my friend to escape reality and ate good food and went to a local new year market to get local goods fun day, tired, gtg :)

better late than never :) the flowers are barely even there anymore but at least we got some aesthetic shots but most importantly, i just enjoy spending time with my friend

i met up with an old friend from middle school and we ate lunch together and literally chat for 4+ hours 😆 i'm very happy to reunite with my good friend at the time :)) (didnt take any photos unfortunately :( but there will always be a next time)

but the photo are things i bought for myself today (after gifting my sister a blind box that i picked for her after she told me which version of the mickey mouse she wanted AND GUESS WHAT? I MANAGED TO PICK THE EXACT ONE 🥳) a 2026 calendar featuring a hong kong movie on each day, with its plot and a line or lyric from the movie. the beer on the left has a unique design and says "good morning hong kong" (only something hkers will understand 🤫) lovely day, even got to see a fun exhibition and ate dinner with mom :) 10/10

on my period so it's gaming day (i need to clean my monitor my god is it filthy)

its 2 in the morning and i took my meds and am laying in bed, with my diffuser on and a nightlight, playing life is strange again after a very long hiatus. i remember finishing this game years ago on my pc, but when i got my ps5 around 2 years ago, i decided to buy it again to replay it. but i never finished replaying it and im stuck at chapter 3 but i guess im starting now because my god, there are so many more games in the franchise i need to catch up on and i think they're gonna release a new one soon. but this scene, max sitting on the swing, with the music playing in the background and the sceneries, took me right back to when i was 10, when i first discovered this game through a youtuber that i adored who no longer is on the platform. and little did that kid know, this game would change my entire life. it's moments like these that made me realize, nothing will ever surpass the feeling this game gives me. it's not just a game, it was a turning point in my life. memories are rushing back and i just needed a place to let thoughts out.

replaying ep 4 rn of lis and i forgot how crushing it was seeing the alternate reality that would've happened if william was saved but chloe became paralyzed. i was holding my tears when they were walking along the beach. i was holding my tears when they were spending the night together watching blade runner. i was holding my tears when max finally got to speak to an alive william. but i couldn't hold it in anymore when max walked into what would've been chloe's room. it's all empty, boxes of childhood memories, letters from relatives sending the price family good wishes after the accident. no trace of chloe, besides the crutch her parents bought but she never got to use it because, she could never walk again. growing up is realizing that yes, chloe got into so much shit in the real reality, so much trouble that could've been avoided and her death was one way or another a consequence of her actions. she was immature and inconsiderate in a lot of ways, but she never deserved to die, not when she was carrying the trauma of losing her father at a young age, not when her best friend left her behind to move with her family, not when her mother moved on with someone else so she felt like she was abandoned, not when her new best friend who meant everything to her went missing. she needed someone in her life to guide her, to teach her, to let her know she could live without carrying grief as a burden on her shoulders. she needed someone, but she never received that. because in the real reality, she never reunited with max, the one week that they got to spend time together and discovering clues about rachel and other town secrets never happened in her reality. she died alone lying in a pool of blood.

listen... i know im still on the replay of the first game and ive got a lot more to finish BUT BRINGING CHLOE BACK? holy moly honestly this could be the best or worst choice they've ever made. i mean yeah it patches up the hole i have in my heart for killing her off years ago, which she did not deserve, but how are they going to explain this comeback? regardless, it made me emotional watching the duo back together again. i'm getting out of bed now :)
