loving the story so far, i love supernatural detective fiction. what I do NOT love at all, are the characters. I WANNA PUNCH EVERYBODY 😭😭😭😭 like tf, is Thup a newborn fucking baby????? why can't he do shit except for scream for Singha (a man he met like a week ago btw) when the ghosties come for him?? even when he's acting as a consultant, his attitude is so fucking unhelpful and the only thing going for him is that the story makes him supply at least a singular clue. also would somebody like to enlighten me on whether the actor for Thup a nepo baby or something cuz I haven't seen acting that bad in quite a while, even in other Thai dramas. both the romances showcased in this drama are getting on my nerves. Darin is adorable but what's up with them being exes despite having feelings for each other?? is there gonna be a big reveal later or are they just doing it to annoy their audience? there are so many plotholes lmfaooooo I can't even,,,,,, why am I doing this to myself,,,, it's just cuz I'm so intrigued by the core mystery, I wanna know more about SEA rituals and spiritual beliefs fire music tho

1. Funny 1000000/10 2. Plot: Freaking AMAZING as it starts out, loses steam by the end. Krisha's "destiny" is touted as something so big but it ends up to be really anti-climactic. 3. Length: 80 eps + side stories. I think it was planned to be longer but they had to shorten it for some reason? or at least that's the vibe i got. 4. Characters: I love love LOVEEEEEE the side characters smmmm. Lian is my baby boi and his involvement in ANRA was one of the most hilarious character traits I've seen in manhwaverse. Poor Miruhi can never catch a break with both his Emperor and Empress being constant escapees lol. My fave is def Krisha (FL) tho. Bbg's always caught up with the weirdest incidents lmfaoooooo if there's an incident, you'll find Krisha at the crime scene somehow. Biggest con is ML. he's USELESS. we didn't even see him till like ep 50. and then somehow they get married within the next 30 chps. biggest reason why it felt like the manhwa was shortened. he adds nothing to her life. Eugene treated her so much better. irl ofc it'd have been okay, ppl's feelings are vvv unpredictable, but this is a romance manhwa, why aren't you showing us the romance between the main leads? 😭😭 the only romance I noticed was with Eugene instead da heck?? In Malcolm Gladwell's 'David and Goliath', the author makes multiple references to the size of fish relative to their ponds. It's not about actual fish, of course. It was about the abilities of humans and the environments they thrive in. His conclusion was that small fish thrive in small ponds, while big fish thrive in ponds suited to their size. One example i vividly remember is that of a science student who could not keep up with the classes at her posh Ivy League uni, dropped out, took up a completely different subject in a much smaller university, and found herself thriving. I've been thinking about this concept a lot over the past few nights. When I left my little rural town for the big state capital city, I knew that I was leaving behind a pond much too small for me. After all, i adapted so well to the big city, it felt like I was made for bigger places. I spent many more years at the state capital, and throughout it all I remained at the top. Maybe not all the time; it was a real struggle making it fully to the top by the end of 12th grade, but I did do it. And through it all, I believed myself to be suited for even bigger ponds. Ponds at the national, maybe even international level. As such, I made my way to the national capital, to a big glamorous DU college,,,,,, and found myself way out of my depth. I've been thinking about my recent unemployment (again lol) and I think DU is where my downfall began. DU was too big a pond for this fish. And ykw? I despise admitting that. I hate it, i absolutely abhor it. I've excelled at everything my whole life, but now I find I don't any more. It's physically suffocating me, even thinking that no greater futures await me. I have so many ambitions, I spent so many years on my current dreams. but is this my limit? can I no longer make it to any bigger ponds? why is it that things that are so hard to me come so easily to others? if in the beginning we were at different starting points, that's alright with me, but why am I still so behind after so many years? everybody else seems to be racing ahead. is it because I didn't work hard enough? but why is it that those who are working less than me, are still so much smarter than me? why can't I figured out what I'm doing wrong? is this pond beyond me? did I already reach my limit back at school? am I finally doomed to a life far mediocre to the one I imagined for myself? wow even thinking about it is making my heart break into a million different pieces. idk how much more time I have left to bring this dream to fruition. thinking about alternatives is too painful. so I guess I'll just dream on about this one. till I finally run out of time. till I can't dream anymore. till then, I'll dream of the biggest pond there is.

my manhwa reader app just went poof today so I've lost a bunch of the manhwas I was reading but I found this one somewhere else at least huhu for this one, the plot was INSANE. it was good, but also the random additions of hidden antagonists kept annoying me a little. what was truly terrible tho, was the romance progression. 0 chemistry, 0 progression, just bam they're in love. tbh tho, that's how I feel about most romances lol it's very rare that I get how the leads fell for each other. only manhwas where i remember the romance plotpoint being done well are It Seems I've Transmigrated Somewhere and Charming the Duke of the North. at least the leads have chemistry in those two, unlike most of these other manhwas huhu Images: 1. GREAT plot, great characterisation, great cinematic visuals. but you know what's not so great? my mental health's capacity to deal with this rip. it was a very bright anime visually but an underlying darkness prevails: from an entire island dedicated solely to prostitution to whatever impure thoughts that prince might be carrying towards Fena on account of her mother. The heaviness permeates the bright visuals and creates terror about what truly lies underneath it all. I say "terror" and not "horror" because horror is palatable. horror is about the dark underbelly that has already been exposed. terror is the anticipation of what might lie underneath. terror is anxiety. and honestly? any more anxiety and I think I might literally explode like an overbloated pufferfish. had to dnf but I do wish to pick it back up again when I'm at a better place in life. I think I might be inclined to rate it even higher if i can watch it without collapsing on myself. I'll look forward to that day.

this is not a romance fantasy. there was barely any romance here. this was, essentially, the story of a mother trying to make up for all of her past mistakes towards her son. and that's what it remained for the entirety of the story. a mother finally realising her mistakes, multiple neglected children finally finding the love they deserve from an adult who was supposed to have raised them well, the admission that the true monster here was the deadbeat father, and even the neglected son from her past life finally finding solace in his mother's arms. this story had EVERYTHING I want from a story about looking after kids.

I kept waiting for what happens after the synopsis, only to find that the synopsis was all of season 1 rip. I gave up on this SO many times, but I've been dropping way too manhwas recently so I wanted to stick to this one since the humour was good at least. plot was good too honestly but it doesn't have that pizzazz I want from a satisfactory revenge. FL is too soft to punish anybody properly. and I DESPISE ML. i fuckinh hate him. consent? boundaries? who cared about THAT when you're ML amirite haha. absolute trash fucker. i cried so many times on behalf of FL and what does she do? laugh it off?? I feel so betrayed for having shed my precious tears on that useless FL 😭😭😭 the minimisation of OGFL's trauma will never not irk me. everybody's forgotten OGFL's story but ykw, not me. baby Louise, I'll carry your pain in my memories for all those who forgot about you just cuz they didn't remember living your life. I will make sure your pain, fear, anxiety and loneliness does not get forgotten.

an extremely powerful introvert who got powerful cuz she'd rather work hard than get over her social anxiety? a girl after my own heart istg. this was so good and so fulfilling, I love my fave kids sm. very feel good anime, vibes are similar to Frieren. fantasy, academy, friendship tags. also Louis is so pretty (in image below). his wife is a baddie too, I lowkey want them to adopt me lol

they say "with great power comes great responsibility". I raise you, "with great kindness comes great responsibility". there are some lessons I'm taking away from this manhwa, but there are just as many lessons I would rather not take at all. the "pushovers" being called "kind" is one of the ones I won't take. i definitely do love that the true victims get exonerated, but no, that does NOT change that you refused to listen to reason and to the people who have loved you all your life for a man whose sincerity you barely get to see. whatever your reasons or intentions, nothing changes the fact that you caused the death of everybody who's ever truly loved you. that is not being kind, that is being blind. FL once said that pushovers are scary but their families are scarier. I truly agree. definitely no one can be scarier than ppl who see their child waste away cuz of what they call her "kind heart" and still think it's a good thing. they taught her to be kind, but they didn't teach her any form of self-preservation, any self-confidence or even self-esteem. basically they only taught her how to give without ever teaching her what moderation means lol. another thing I will NOT be taking away from this manhwa is the droves of ppl willing to throw away everything and hurt so many ppl in the name of love. Herman betraying all of his family for her? locking up his own mother, and making his own father go through so much? and in the original timeline, his mother would have died while being confined like this. does any of this make fucking sense???? using the name of YOUR "love" to disregard all the love others have shown you?? your love is all that matters, but others' love for you does not??? that's the same problem i have with Evaldina. neither of them had what actual love is. they were just selfish, greedy but broken individuals who had probably never had someone beat some sense into them like FL does with her brother. in short: they're spoilt brats. my apologies for the word vomit, but my unadulterated rage at whatever this love bs was had to come out some way. those were just some of the things I disliked. there's a lot more that I did like. my biggest lesson was something FL said: "forgiveness is a choice but apologies are a given." this is not something i have thought about before, but I think I'd like to make it a central epithet of my life moving forward. I have been hurt by a lot of people and I have done a lot of hurting myself. have i apologised to all the people I've hurt (unintentionally)? I don't think so. but the past is something I can't change so maybe, it wouldn't be so bad if i could live like this in the future. if I have an opportunity in the future to apologise to the people I feel guilty towards, I would like to take it. this manhwa also has a happy ending that left me truly happy. it ended with a historical record of the reign of Emperor Theore, and it was the cutest thing ever. I'm heartbroken over Johan tho aaaaaaaaaaaaa my baby boiii. i truly love how it was resolved with Evaldina. I still don't like her, and if I were a part of the story I'd never forgive her for all the things she's done. she was about to commit genocide ffs c'mon we need to start punishing ppl in manhwas proportionately. all of this for just a stupid apology man my bp's about to rise again istg. but i digress. anyways, I'm glad that the asshole First Emperor got called out for his bs publicly mwahahaha. it's been a while since a manhwa has made me think so much. I'm glad.

I had so much fun reading this omggggggg yes, it is very reminiscent of Baby Tyrant but I've actually been looking for more manhwas that give me as much joy as that one so I'm vvvv happy about it. it's so funny and the plot is so interesting haha I love it. I do have two complaints tho: 1. inconsistencies. the author + artist both forget little things they've mentioned before lmfaoooo 2. the ending was too rushed. there were no consequences for her mother???? why?? her mum was scared so she,,,,, left her child behind with the ppl she was scared of and ran away all alone??? and nobody said a word about it?? what the fuck

This was SO good omggggg Both NCs aren't just supposed to be smart, their thought processes are shown and they're truly so goddamn smart. the manhwa did show vs tell SO well. even the art for the first two seasons was so good, it meshed really well with the story. i especially loved how the prince was shown to be so "princely" even while dealing with his love. it did always irk me how the cold MLs would do a whole 180 upon their personality when in love with the FL. that's just not realistically possible but it was fine since it's fiction, fiction gets poetic licence. but reading this was gratifying cuz the prince remained true to his personality (as expressed through the art). that's not to say he remained cold and rude, he just didn't turn into melted icecream as soon as he met the FL lol. he remained haughty, but not rude or disrespectful. I also love how realistic the timelines are. FL lost weight over months and years, not instantly. she also stopped at a very normal weight level and started maintaining instead. love when creators handle issues like this with such finesse and grace. though ofc a lot of my fave things changed with the drop in quality in the newest season. artstyle changes dp usually end up dropping quality. tho I wouldn't say the artstyle change was as bad as some others I've come across (I'm looking at you, Cross My Heart and Hope To Die), but again I did lose my haughty prince so huhu Images: 1-3: the ML. i find this man so incredibly tantalizing istg 4: my fave characters. the spies from the prince and the black society, who are basically drama-enthusiast besties
