Suspiria
영화 / TV
If your idea of high magic involves extreme passive-aggression, and trading fascist men for elderly women who literally want to eat your youth, congratulations! You’ve found the ultimate sanctuary. Blessed be the bureaucracy. 🪄 ~ To trade the iron of the father for the glass teeth of the mother is no liberation at all—it is merely changing the shape of the leash. Freedom cannot exist in a hall of mirrors where every reflection demands a toll paid in marrow and skin. Poor girls. Markos’s coven offers no sanctuary, only a prettier slaughterhouse. They paint their cage in the muted hues of high art, masking their rot behind synchronized steps and heavy velvet. But under the floorboards, the truth is stark: young women are not crowned here, they are harvested. Their limbs are bent until they snap, their vitality siphoned into the lungs of an ancient parasite fake god so afraid of its own death that it eats its own children. I love art and witchcraft shits that's why I watched this film, and the film's agonizing dance scenes and flesh-toned dread are undeniable art, but it completely misses the soul of magic. Only in Susie Bannion’s final, blood-soaked awakening we see the true witchery: a raw, fiery power that burns away the legacy of mothers who were never holy, only hungry.

Monster
영화 / TV
I have an acute, chronic obsession with late-20th-century German bureaucracy, moral philosophy, and a mildly concerning obsession with a charismatic young man named Johan Liebert. 🖤 The primary narrative premise follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a neurosurgeon who suffers from a severe Hero Complex combined with disastrous decision-making. When given the choice between saving a corrupt mayor or an angelic-looking child, Tenma chooses the child—accidentally unleasining the literal Antichrist upon Central Europe. Character having the most of my attention and my why's 1. Johan Liebert (he has extreme anti-social personality disorder / plot-armor-induced charisma) Observations: Johan is less of a human being and more a walking, talking existential crisis in a cream-colored turtleneck. He manages to convince stable, middle-aged adults to commit murder simply by whispering to them in a quiet hallway for three minutes. Additional Note: Must study his persuasion techniques. Could be useful for getting what I want from my dear boyfriend. 2. Dr. Kenzo Tenma ( with pathological altruism) Observations: Tenma spends 74 episodes sprinting across Germany in a single trench coat, carrying a gun he refuses to shoot, apologizing to everyone he encounters. His guilt complex is so massive it has its own gravitational pull. 3. Inspector Lunge ( with obsessive-compulsive disorder & delusional hyper-fixation) Observations: Refuses to accept evidence that Johan exists, preferring instead to type invisible notes in the air with his fingers. He puts me on ragebait mode every damn time he's on screen lmao. Additional Note: Finger-typing is a clear coping mechanism for coping with the fact that his wife left him because he prioritizes a Japanese brain surgeon over his own family. 4. Wolfgang Grimmer (puts state-sponsored psychological abuse into perspective) Observation : Most people in Monster react to Johan Liebert’s apocalyptic nihilism by having an existential crisis, while Grimmer looks at the abyss, offers it a juice box, and asks if it wants to hear about the plot of a 1970s children's cartoon. But with all seriousness, I love Grimmer because he took the absolute worst hand life could deal a person, wrapped it in a cheap suit, and chose to be the kindest guy in the room anyway. Even if his coping strategy was 90% delusion and 10% extreme violence. Had me the moment saw him having a coffee at Czech. Overall Rating : 5/5 Existential Dread Spikes. Highly recommended, though I will be sending Naoki Urasawa my bill for the therapy.

The Truman Show
영화 / TV
Never saw this as funny or comedic. It's a snuff film for your free will. It captures the soul-shriveling dread of realizing your entire existence—from your first step to your chronic lower back pain is just content for a giggling global wasteland of mouth-breathers eating artisanal chips on their couches. When the credits roll, the real horror begins. You sit in the dark, bathed in the blue glow of your phone, suddenly hyper-aware of the tiny black circle staring back at you. Go ahead. Look around your bedroom. Are you completely sure you're not being watched? 5/5, I now put tape on my front camera

Black Swan
영화 / TV
I'm overachiever whose path to self-actualization required a complete psychotic break, severe self-mutilation, and a fatal backstage medical emergency just to finally let loose. --------------- Every spark of desire is treated as an act of treason against the self. Consequently, when sexuality finally forces its way to the surface, it does not arrive as a liberating dawn, but as a visceral, psychotic tearing of the psyche. The mind, having internalized the unforgiving verdict that desire is monstrous, fractures under the weight of its own awakening. Liberation demands absolute self-annihilation; to feel fully, to inhabit one's own skin with unbridled hunger, Nina must bleed, hallucinate, and literally destroy the cage of her former self just to taste a single, lethal moment of autonomy. Turns out shedding your inner virgin just requires a fatal chest wound and a standing ovation hahahahha. Who knew self-actualization was just aggressive, high-budget suicide with a tutu. Of course my totally objective, trauma-bonded, chronically bruised spine didn't influence the rating—giving a self-destructive psychological horror about ballet a 5 out of 5 is purely unbiased journalism.

Gone Girl
영화 / TV
☣ Amy Dunne is a victim turn into abuser. Even at her most monstrous version, framing her husband, and orchestrating a masterpiece of malice, Amy Dunne remains a product and a victim of a patriarchal system. Some people call her unhinge and I don't deny it. Her terryfying acts is wrong but that doesn't cancel out her victimhood. Her malice is the direct mechanical result of it. The paradox of Amy Dunne is that her ultimate act of rebellion is still entirely shaped by the hand that destroyed her. My why's; • Her identity was erased before she ever picked up a weapon Patriarchy demands that women shrink, adapt, and swallow themselves whole to become palatable to men. Amy’s creation of the "Cool Girl" wasn't a quirky personality trait; it was an survival tactic. She sacrificed her career, her city, her independence, and her authentic self to move to Missouri because Nick wanted a traditional wife and a fresh start. Her anger didn't come out of a vacuum. It was born the moment she realized she had hollowed herself out for a man who took her sacrifices for granted, cheated on her with a younger woman, and expected her to quietly accept a diminished life. The system demanded her erasure; her crime was a violent refusal to stay erased, alone. • She had to play by a rigged house's rules If Amy had tried to handle her marital betrayal like a conventional, law-abiding woman, seeking a divorce, speaking out, or walking away—the patriarchal media and legal systems would have chewed her up making it sound like her fault to why Nick cheated on her. We see how easily the public and police instantly sided with Nick's smug incompetence, while scrutinizing Amy’s every personal flaw na para bang kasalanan mo pa na niloko ka dahil lang hindi ikaw iyong perfect wife na gusto nila. Sa tingin mo what would happen if she handle it the other way? not that I agreed to her, pero judging on her mental capacity, I think what happened before the catastrophe already ruined her deeply to care for morals. It is easy to blame the woman 'no and call her hysterical and crazy for her outburst, but hard to look at the man who stole her independence then aggressively tosses her the moment he don't want her anymore. Amy weaponized the "hysterical woman" and the "abused wife" tropes precisely because she knew those were the only scripts society would believe. She couldn't fight the system using truth or justice; she had to mimic the very cruelty, deception, and objectification that the world used against her just to be heard. Her cunning is a trauma response to a world that only listens to women when they break. • Even her ultimate "Triumph" is a self-imposed prison Look at how Gone Girl ends. Amy wins, but at what cost? She is trapped in a suburban nightmare that she hated in the first place, visibly pregnant, legally bound to a man who cheated to her and despises her, playing the role of the devoted, terrified wife for the entire world to see. She had to reduce her own body and her life to a hostage situation just to force that guy to stay. The fact that her ultimate display of "liberation" requires her to trap herself in a literal and metaphorical domestic prison proves how limited her options truly were. There was no liberating escape hatch for Amy Dunne; the only way to win a rigged game was to set fire to the board and chain herself to the ashes. Amy Dunne is wrong but she isn't a villain. Nick who posses the very toxicity of patriarcy is the real villain. Because what the hell of reasoning would Nick have after cheating to her wife with a young girl. His unhappiness with the marriage he had with his wife is projection of his own insecurity. He could have divorce her if he is that unhappy but why not? oh is it because he needed her at some point? that he gets something to her na wala sa babae niya? What happened to him doesn't make him victim, that's the result of him cheating to her. Amy isn't a hero, but definitely an icon, icon for miserable girls. She was wrong but patriarchy lit the match. She took the violence, gaslighting, and confinement handed to her by a sexist society and reflected it back with terrifying, magnified clarity. So why did I rate it complete 5? because I can relate to her. For me, that's a masterpiece because the portrayal of patriarcy is so good, my trauma resurfaced after watching it. And I can't look at Ben Affleck the same way.

Forgotten
영화 / TV
When reality is defined by unforgivable trauma, is a fabricated sanity a mercy, or is the eventual awakening a terminal sentence? Patient Diagnosis : Severe cognitive gymnastics and Olympic-level denial. Core Symptom : Mistaking a full-blown psychotic break for a cozy little alternative lifestyle. The Case File Forgotten is essentially a two-hour masterclass in what happens when your brain flat-outs refuses to accept the group project grade it earned. Instead of dealing with a mountain of catastrophic trauma, our protagonist simply unsubscribes from reality, deletes his actual memories, and downloads a completely custom, brand-new biography complete with a fresh set of parents and a totally redesigned house. Who needs years of intensive psychotherapy when you can just gaslight yourself so hard that you reverse-engineer a completely different genre of movie? Jin-seok's mind would win an award for the most aggressive and creative use of the "Reset to Factory Settings" button ever recorded. The movie captures how far humanity will go to avoid saying, "Well, that was my fault." TW (SPOILER) Gets naman na may pinaka malaking fault dito iyong doctor na nag-utos ipapatay iyong asawa niya, but that doesn't make Jin-seok less accountable dahil he made a choice regardless the reason. Sad for them.

The 4 Stages of a Left 4 Dead Campaign « Confidence : This is easy, expert difficulty is overrated. Save your medkits! « Panic: You hear a piano cue. Someone alerts the Witch. A Horde arrives. Friendly fire incidents rise by 400%. « Betrayal : Your friend heals themselves with their last medkit at 80% health while you are crawling on the floor at 1 HP. « The Safe House Rush: The door is in sight. Someone gets pulled back by a Smoker. The remaining three players look at each other, slam the safehouse door shut, and pretend they didn't hear the screams. Overall, it is a good game, just don't play with your friends specially the one who is competitive in getting medkit, gotta save yourself bruh 🤷🏻♀️

There is something inherently intoxicating about locking eyes with someone while doing something terrifying. It forces you to be entirely present. When they’re sharing vulnerable secrets amidst the chaos of a neon-drenched New York City night, it hits all the right romantic notes. I relapse just watching the movie remembering someone I dated at the city haha. So good to be young. It's Bonnie and Clyde for the digital age, where love conquers the toxic mob. Verdict on the movie: Stylish, recklessly romantic, and visually intoxicating. It will make you want to grab your jacket, find a mysterious stranger, and go chase a midnight adrenaline rush. and I love Emma Roberts. ▶︎ •၊၊||၊|။||||| 0:10 | Playing Melamine Martinez — Soap

Oh, hey. Welcome back to me, bruisedballerina—or whoever the hell that is. Honestly? I have zero clue who she is either, okay? Every few weeks my brain just hits a reset button and I morph into a completely different human, which is why all my social media usernames look like a identity crisis in progress. My username is literally just a live broadcast of whatever chaotic mood I’m marinating in at 2 AM. But It’s still me, guys, I’m just… a girl Anyway, when I downloaded this app, used it for 1-2 days actively and then vanished into thin air? Yeah. There was no tragic backstory or dramatic exit—I literally just deleted it because I felt like it. Instead, I downloaded Letterboxd. And look, Letterboxd is… fine. But I’m already over it, and before anyone tries to mansplain my own personal beefs with an app back to me: don't. My petty grievances are mine, and they are valid First of all: the layout? Yawn. Total snooze fest. I am an absolute, shameless sucker for custom aesthetics. If I can’t customize the interface to look like an extension of my soul, I’m going to get bored and stop opening the app. I need pretty colors, okay? Second: the ads. The ads are driving me insane! I don't know if you guys are seeing them too, but every time a random pop-up jumps out at me, I get full-blown anxiety that my phone is about to catch a deadly cyber-virus. Absolutely not. Now, I’ve seen people tearing Letterboxd apart online, but honestly, I don't get the drama over the user reviews. Judging an app by its chaotic comment section is silly. It’s never the app’s fault—it’s just human nature running wild. We all have different brain cell counts and thought processes. Sure, half the people on there don’t know what a real film critique is, but honestly? Your review, your rules. Letterboxd isn't enforcing a thesis requirement, so write a single one-liner or a whole breakdown, do it the way you want. If you don't like someone’s unhinged review, swipe past it, yk. Why get your blood pressure up over a stranger's hot take when there are actual real-world problems to be mad about? There are millions of people on there—go find the cinephiles that match your vibe and stop trying to force your standards onto strangers. Life is way too short to lose sleep over how a teenager rated Shrek 2. And if you’re the one getting harshly criticized for your reviews? Look, constructive feedback is cool, but don't internalize bullshit from pixels on a screen. Keep being weird, just keep growing too. ...God, I’m so sleepy. I need to get my beauty sleep before whatever chaotic quest I have to face tomorrow. Bottom line: I’m officially back on my bullshit here. This app is honestly elite for brain-dumping. I can rant about movies, complain about video games, spit out random shower thoughts, and I get to customize the whole layout to match my aesthetic. Everything I want is right here xd

Tomorrow is a big day, going to a fan meeting of people I don't even like! Honestly, what sounds better than waking up super early at 6:00AM for preparation and be there at 10:00 AM to stand in a room full of hyper kids while my brain slowly turns to mush? +++ my money plan is actual genius. I am rolling in wealth with a total of 50 pesos. That is purely for the ride there and back. Food? Water? Snacks? Absolutely not. I will simply eat the air, swallow my own spit, and let my stomach eat itself by lunch. 🥹 Why am I risking actual death by hunger? Because I love my friend, and since I am currently a full-time bed warmer and my parent's unpaid housekeeper, I technically have free time (and if ur planning to judge me for being unemployed, ask me first for whatever reasons I have so you don't look shallow, judgemental, and illiterate omkay?). Plus, if I stay home any longer, I might go potato 🥔. Do I have money? No. Do I have the energy or care to go? Even less. Anyway, I am going to sleep now, leaving my life in the hands of the universe. If I wake up and go tomorrow, cool—at least if I pass out from hunger, it’ll be a great experience👍🏻. If I stay home? My bed is 100% free and my fridge is five steps away. Good morning, good night, good day kumpadrè

1. Stare at the ceiling and count your regrets. Review every embarrassing thing you said in public since 2013, making sure to replay the cringe in high-definition surround sound. 2. Stare into the glowy rectangle of doom. Convince yourself that watching strangers build tiny houses on the internet will finally make you sleepy, only to realize it is now dawn and you are researching the mating habits of deep-sea snails. 3. Have an argument with nobody. Practice shower arguments you should have won five years ago, delivering your devastating comebacks to an imaginary opponent while aggressively punching your pillow. 4. Accept your fate. Accept that you are now a nocturnal creature, embrace the madness, and stare blankly into the dark until the sun decides to pity you. PS: CANT SLEEP BRO, SO IM GOING TO SPAM MOVIE REVIEWS HERE, Gonna re-unite with my demons before 12 midnight comes (≧▽≦).
