every single bite of this is so worth it to keep on living, especially after being in the fridge overnight and it gets firm. the crunch layer was a bit thin to me and the brownie was like 2/3 the whole thing, but still smacky.

i was feeling the mood for korean food and didn’t want to have kbbq, but a more traditional restaurant so we went to tofu village. we got a combo of the short rib/galbi and the kimchi tofu soup. although i originally planned on getting the bulgogi, i’m glad we got the galbi because the meat was tender and deliciously marinated in a sweet tasting sauce that i kept wanting more of. despite it being readily available and accessible in vietnam, i hadn’t had korean food in over 3 months so coming back and having tofu soup was worth the struggle of it all. we got it either mild or medium because we both agreed that we prefer the taste of something over it being too spicy to handle and enjoy the flavor. willingly burned my mouth and also gave the egg over to linds bc i love her.

buffalo wild wings, better known as bdubs, serves not only chicken wings, but burgers as well. as someone who used to frequent bdubs in high school on tuesdays after tennis practice, i’ve had enough of their chicken to know i like wingstop better, no disrespect to bdubs. so tonight, i got their mushroom swiss burger and that shit was fucking gobsmackingly delicious, combined with a few hits of the pennifer before we arrived. there was grilled onions and juicy mushrooms and the patties were giving smash burger. they were also bigger than the bun it was in. speaking of the bun, it was soft and sweet and went well with the crispy edges of the burger. GOD I LOVE MUSHROOM SWISSSSS for dessert, we got the triple chocolate chip cookie skillet and it was honestly underwhelming at first glance, but the moment you get the ice cream with the crispy and gooey edge of the cookie, it becomes sooooo worth it. even the bottom of the cookie was stuck in this hard chunk that was so crunchy with the melted chocolate and the cold ice cream was perfect. would def get again. i like the sizing of it because sometimes the chilis one can be too big.

one of the most iconic movie series that has been such a blessing to my life and makes it worth living more, knowing that i’m able to rewatch it whenever i want to; i’ve even bought the physical dvd’s for some that i’ve been able to find at goodwill. i can vividly remember watching the first deathly hallows on a dvd i rented from the redbox at the nice cvs in town on the tv at moms nail shop when she still had one. shoutout to hbo max for having a channel that plays the harry potter universe movies because i typically don’t choose to watch the last two to indulge in the nostalgia of it all, but my only option to watch harry potter and not have to go and search for the next one was inviting.

in vietnam, my aunt would come over and bring me these containers of jelly, mainly the green one which was pandan flavor, and it was the first time i had ever had anything like this. it’s served cold and sometimes is topped with coconut milk or other sweet liquids. the texture is jiggly and keeps its shape, but is creamy and melts in your mouth. i think i can compare it to flan if it was a lighter and less firm custard, maybe like japanese pudding. it’s super refreshing too. made from soybean milk. now that im back in the states, ive started missing it real bad and the issue was that aunt said these were special made to order so i anticipated that it wouldn’t be an easy recipe to find. fortunately, with some sleuthing skills and the tiktok search bar, i started with ‘rau cau’ which is jelly in viet, and scrolled to try to find what i was looking for. all the options were the normal type of viet jelly that’s firmer and has a slight crunch to it. that’s when we had to call mom and ask her, to which her reply was ‘rau cau mem’. i then searched that up and it was basically the same results. until, i saw the hashtag for tofu and decided to search that one up and it was game time. the tofu pudding i grew up with was best warm and served with a brown sugar ginger syrup that was soothing for the soul and immensely comforting. turns out that it’s cold sister is also a delicious and addicting vietnamese dessert. i’m so excited i learned how to make it AND it’s mad easy too.

$30k ≈ $1.14USD for my favorite banh mi combo at the shop i love going to since it’s a nice little walk during the day. i could eat it for all meals of the day if im being honest. it doesn’t fill me up, but it satisfies the taste buds 😋. i get a baguette with liver pate, bơ / mayo 🧈, chả / pork sausage, trứng / fried eggs 🍳 , chà bông / pork floss and tương ớt / chin su (sriracha but not really) 🌶️. i originally intended to get a $10K cup of cam vắt 🍊 / fresh squeezed orange juice, but when i walked over, there wasn’t anyone there so i had to dip. then my bubble tea shop that i get my trà tác / calamansi tea hadn’t even opened yet so they weren’t an option. i ended up walking back down the alleyway home and remembered i still could get coffee from the stand right by my house, so i got my cutie cafe sửa đá / iced coffee with condensed milk and cup of tea that’s complimentary and went home. thanks for joining me for breakfast 💗

i’m currently going through that one episode of spongebob where he has a worm in his ear that keeps playing the same song over and over for whatever reason, but it’s with this song. it’s sooooo good. tickets to see her are $200 and i just can’t do that. proud to say ive been listening to zara since at least 2013 and her lush life album has always been a banger.

got the d*&@ grabbers ready after having the same acrylics for over 2 months. this set is SOOOOO CUTIEEE i could eat them 😭😭 it did take about 2 1/2 hours and the lower half of my body is feeling the effects. my first time getting gel-x and im vibing with her. the process was way quicker and lighter than acrylics, but the design part of it definitely took a long-ass time. the total price was $670k ≈ $30USD for gel-x, cat eye, and designs on every nail. my inspo pics are from pinterest and one of my favorite movies is howls moving castle so i wanted to have that on my nails 😁 the fourth pic, the only inspo i got was the pinky nails’ heart since the last pic didn’t include the thumb designs.

happy birthday, jbiebs 😭 i literally cried the first time i saw the ‘baby’ m/v when i was 11 so the fact that im able to experience him turn 32 in this day and age is wild to me. like yes ive grown 13 years older, but i forget that other people have aged too.

im such a fiend for teef gems, especially when they’re cheaper than $30 a gem and so intact that i wont end up swallowing them like when i get them done in the states. main reason why i went back was to get my teeth molded for ✨ grillz ✨and so the newer gems were a second thought-ish. if yall ever get to travel to saigon and want tooth gems that will be super inexpensive but also secure as balls, hit her up. she’s the only tooth gem artist i’ve been able to find here by using social media and tiktok and yall know tiktok got it all.

shoutout to tien who intro’d me to this song when we were in temple fan dance together sooo many years ago. it’s upbeat and catchy and has parts that you can’t stop replaying in your head. it’s all in vietnamese, but it’s about celebrating the lunar new year and wishing someone a good year ahead.

from my favorite viet place that i’ve been going to for 10+ years now, at this point. this is the house special vermicelli noodle bowl with thit nuong/grilled pork, nem nuong/grilled sausage, cha gio/eggrolls, tom/shrimp, pickled carrots and peanuts. it usually comes with lettuce and cucumber, but i ask for the bowl without it. then you pour fish sauce over it, mix and munch ! i can taste this bowl in my mind and even after living in houston, i can’t find a place that makes it taste like this or have a portion this size for the price as well. we love smol businesses.

say what you want about the cgi and quality of whatever, i literally feel like im back in 2016 as the show was coming out and i got traumatized by the shower scene, if you know, you know. i was 15 in 2016 and i think what’s better than that is being able to return to that youthfulness and hope when you have actual free will and self realization. don’t forget adult money. it was so cute seeing how goofy first love is with all the misunderstandings and constant yearning for each other. STRAIGHT NUT. i miss her. it’s the way i basically manifested what i said in my last bagel post. every change was delicious and i regret nothing. highkey want to make this at home and don’t say i won’t because i love caramelized onions and yes i know the work that goes into them. caramelized onions are so worth the effort, like me :D everything bagels are tasty. okay the dr peppppper tasted real interesting and not in a bad way; it was heavier on the espresso, but you still taste the dr pepper towards the end, and even the carbonation stays even after two hours. if i were to get it again, i would need extra dr pepper on the side bc im a dr pepper hoe. i didn’t expect the espresso to turn the drink creamy, but i liked it nonetheless. i wonder if this or cafe sua da would have me more wired. maybe because the cup was on the smaller side, there wasn’t room for more
