This sentence broke me. I don't think I've cried as much as I cried watching this series. Everything about this kdrama is absolutely beautiful. It isn't only about your first love but also your first heartbreak, growing up, facing hardships, working hard to chase your dreams, building meaningful friendships and enjoying your teenage years. The ending was absolutely heartbreaking but also realistic because life doesn't always work the way you want it to work. I loved all the characters and the summer vibe reminded me of Twinkling Watermelon (one of my favorites). I loved all 2521 songs!!!! Seungwan was my favorite character and it was sad because she deserved a better ending.

I watched this thinking it was going to be similar to Perfect Blue but I'm glad to be proven wrong! It's very different from Perfect Blue but just as good. "Perfect Blue is a psychological horror about a Japanese idol (Mima) who retires from her pop-idol career to pursue a more serious career as an actress. It's about making it in the movie industry despite not being taken seriously as an ex pop-idol. Mima 's mental health starts to take a toll because of ongoing harassments from her "fan" and stalker, pressure from her director and screenwriter, exploitation by a photographer all coupled up with the sudden success of her former pop-idol group following her departure." Helter Skelter (written and directed by women) is a psychological drama about Lilico a japanese top model who is the envy of girls all across the country. It's a story about her dealing with her inevitable fall from grace. Lilico isn't exactly a nice person. In fact she's awful. She's extremely jealous, manipulative, a drug addict, obsessed with being beautiful, has a fear of being forgotten and an excessive desire to be admired. She's extremely flawed but that's also what makes her human and you can't help but cheer her on... It's sad how this movie is barely talked about! I'm still waiting for it get more recognition so I can watch all the edits and video essays analyzing the movie!! Helter Skelter is visually stunning and the actress who played the role of Lilico did a great job. I am obsessed with Lilico's appartment omfg ❤️ Helter Skelter is definitely not for everyone. It's a bit gory and has explicit scenes of nudity and sex.

The beginning was boring and I even thought of dropping it but it just kept getting better and better!!! I'm glad I didn't stop watching because I totally get the hype for this show. It reminded me of "The Night Has Come" and it was refreshing to see new faces. The actors did a great job considering some of them are rookie actors! The casting that they did for the friend group when they were young was also perfect and believable (just like in "The Glory"). I liked the backstory of the two best friends Hye Ryung and Siwon way more than the friends 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ Hye Ryung was by far my favorite character. She was an absolute angel and deserved a better friend than someone like Siwon. I was really surprised to find out people had been shipping those two... I love yuri but they completely misunderstood the point of the story 💔 I also loved the brother in laws duo sm ( ˃ 𖥦 ˂ ) What doesn't sit right with me is the way Hyeong Wook was treated. They didn't check up on him when they saw that he was clearly not well. I know that deep down they did care about him (not Nari) but they didn't pay attention until it was too late. He's so underrated.... All my shayla wanted was to celebrate his birthday with his friends 🥹🥹 This is going to be a hot take but I can't seem to hate Nari completely. Her wishing Hyeong Wook dead even if it was as a joke (while drunk) and treating him horribly can't be excused. But I understand how betrayed she must have felt when Seah broke the girl code by dating Geonwoo knowing Nari liked him for a long time. Although the main couple had a cute and healthy relationship, they were reduced to a side couple because of their lack of scenes. You can't deny that the second lead Hajoon and Seah had great chemistry together though 🫡 TLDR: This show exceeded my expectations! I think this is more than just about a cursed app haunted by a vengeful spirit, it's about friendship and miscommunication. + Hye Ryung is the best character in this entire show!

I am so excited for season two!!!! I hope that we will get to see more of Suhyeok and Namra (they are so freaking cute together omd) I am being delusional but I hope Cheongsan makes an appearance as a hambie bcs we never really saw him actually die 🥹🥹

In 1987, as martial law ends in Taiwan, Jia-han and Birdy fall in love amid family pressure, homophobia and social stigma. My review: I did tear up a bit at the phonebooth scene. I think this movie perfectly captures the experiences of the LGBT relationships in the 1980s where you couldn't express yourself freely without getting beaten up. This is going to be a hot take but I wasn't a fan of the pacing (I don't know how to explain it properly) I still can't get over the fact that this is a true story based on the director's life and what we saw when Birdy and Jia-chan (now adults) reunited never actually happened. It was something the director wished would have happened but didn't.
