rewatched this movie last night and guess what? i fell asleep sobbing... still one of the best and meaningful movies i’ve seen. the cinematography and dialouges are of course on top and each scene truly captivated the yearning daughter who misses her parents inside of me.

LOVE this anime so much, glad that i waited years to watch it. it really hits different when you’re at a certain point in your life and only a comforting anime can get through you ~ so much love for my girl tohru and her transforming relationship with kyo as well as the other zodiac members xx

can’t help but to bawl my eyes out while im still on the bus going back to our province. after a week of night shift duty at the hospital, i can feel my body aching. listening to this track made me realize momentarily that there are better days ahead, so hang in there! xx

a literal masterpiece. every time i listen to this song i am sent back to a spiral of someone who was once hopeful of how her life is becoming then being hit by the reality that parts of growth consist of pain and anxiety. im sure every eldest daughter (me) shares the same sentiments whenever this track starts to play.

i couldn’t stop myself from watching the movie even though i am only half-finished with the book yet (yes i am a slow reader) guillermo del toro’s adaptation of frankenstein is hauntingly beautiful at the same time compelling. although it didn’t really stick with the source material, the movie provided an alternate perspective in the twisted relationship of victor and his creature. just like any other del toro’s movies, the whimsical and gothic vibes is evidently present. i find myself drawn to the cinematography yet still aware of the changes they made in the movie. overall i enjoyed watching it and my immense empathy for the creature is both evident in the book as well as the movie.

my current setup! i am a FAN of morning pages. i usually find it more peaceful and therapeutic to journal in the morning rather than night where i tend to fall asleep in the process of writing down my thoughts (yes, this happens often) i always give a couple minutes to my silly silly rituals before i start the day. this day is special tho— ever since my mum migrated abroad, i have always been carrying this massive hole inside my chest. i am a morning person through and through and so does my mum. she usually keeps me company, drinking coffee while i write on my journal and read articles online. then we would go on our day after that— a simple yet special moment for the both of us. i haven’t felt the same joy ever since she left… but for some reason today that familiar feeling decided to visit me. so here i am writing a long paragraph about how wonderful my morning is. i hope all of you are having a wonderful morning as well! xx
