Just finished the first quest (Heaven Has No Pier) and the ending threw me for a loop! I wasn’t expecting the damage it’ll do to my poor heart :( There’s so much going on in the gameplay but it surprisingly doesn’t deter me away… I just need to be patient to learn the controls! Very shy when it comes to the social aspect though huhu, my only friends so far are my bf, master, and fellow disciple 😭

My fourth grade English teacher never knew she changed the trajectory of my life by requiring us to watch this film. I come back to this film whenever I just want a good watch, or if I just miss the movie :') Manolo and Maria have my heart, they built on my standards. And I love how the film didn't fully demonize Joaquin, nor did they fully ruin the trio's friendship over their feelings for Maria. It's one of the healthier love triangles I've seen in media, actually. The character designs are absolutely stunning, and the details are so clever and meticulous, that I'm always in awe every time I see it. Oh and don't get me started on the SOUNDTRACK!!! Manolo's song when he was serenading Maria and the apology song?! Looped in my head! It is now a rite of passage for me to show this film to any friend who hasn't watched the film yet.

Just blasted this on loop while doing chores, 10/10 experience—I'll never tire of singing the lyrics with my whole soul. Special shout out to The Book Of Life for Manolo's beautiful cover of the song (and all of the other banger songs in the film), and TGSWIIWAGAA for mentioning that Mitsuki sang Creep to Aya in one of the chapters.

me? a sucker for the grumpy x sunshine trope? more likely than you think! people can call it cliche or cringe all they like, but it’s a comfort show for me! i’m aware of the lapses between the drama vs the novel (which reminds me to *actually* read the novel), and i have my own critiques here and there, but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment i had! the tender moments had me squealing! will be watching Moonlight to act as my unofficial part 2 for miaomiao and ziqi 🤧

The concept of love teetering into a form of devotion and obsession that drives you to the point of hunger and devouring.

Note to self: rewatch this and overanalyze every little detail I really found it to be such a treat that they kept the core motif and somehow incorporated it into the plot, because even I was persuaded by the initial setup. It was a fun watch and it was entertaining enough for my brain to want to poke into all of the little hints and details mentioned just to get the bigger picture (and see if the one scene would make sense, realistically).

I'm starting to wonder if college has made me numb to different kinds of surprises, because despite our classes endng around a week ago, we still had tasks due beyond the deadline—and I was not even a bit surprised! I do think it paid off well, because my grades so far have allowed me to rank on the dean's list! (I just need to wait for one last course to be encoded to fully determine if I make the cut for Dean's Listers or not. Hopefully I do..!) As of now, I'm still doing my best to schedule meetups with all of my friend groups over the break. I especially want to see my boyfriend since I bought him a whole goodie bag of trinkets and merch from art marts and conventions. There's also the matter of trying to find a better date to squeeze in the continuation of D&D session too (I miss my silly bard huhuhu). Either way, I'll do my best to take a break and enjoy the remainder of the break! ദ്ദി◝ ⩊ ◜)
