Let me start with: I love this movie. I love how it's made, the camera movements, the mockups – oh god the mockups, I'm a Wes Anderson fan, so I'm very happy seeing another movie made without green screen – the sound play, the portrayal of many scenes, the acting (obviously). It's just such a well-done movie. If I didn't know the plot (prior to reading a book), I would probably watch it at the edge of my seat for the whole 2,5h. The pacing was great. The idea of showing Rocky's pov was very well executed and thought of. It's nice to see how such concepts can be shown in movies. I like scenes that they added to the movie. Showing a different side of characters (like Stratt) was also interesting. I like this choice, because it's just another take on a character that doesn't take away from their personality and role. Same with Grace, however I do have few things that bothered me. I know it's a movie and thus, some things have to get changed. It's either due to the constraints of time-limit, scenes blending, pacing, or just information not available (or needed) to a viewer, since they don't get a look inside the main character's head. I'm sad about some of the characters being cut out entirely (or just showing on the screen for a second and without a proper name), as well as some scenes, but I know why they decide to do it. The same goes for changing some scenes or adding another ones, and adding new character. Or making some scenes more or less dramatic. I love this movie, I will for sure watch it again, it's great, however, in contrast with a book, I feel like they didn't really portray the stakes as much. I'm not saying they didn't do it at all, because they did, but the books feels heavier. Of course, I know, it's connected to a lot of scenes they unfortunately got rid of, but if they didn't the movie would be probably like an hour longer. It's just my personal feeling compared to the book. Probably if I didn't read it before, I wouldn't feel it. Another thing that bothers me is that Grace's personality and successes are lessened? Of course, again, I know it comes from the fact it's a movie, we can't know how smart (and dumb) he really is, we're not sitting inside his head. But (very small spoilers) why not showing the fact that he was the one naming Astrophages? (another small spoiler) Why only at the end showing that he learnt Eridian language? – this one I understand more, it's a movie they needed Rocky to talk, however they could've done it differently too. I know some of the scenes I think of are not needed for the plot, or not important, they're just personality showcase but I just don't understand why they changed certain scenes in such way. And it goes many ways. Like the scene goes almost the same but, for example instead of Rocky asking for a laptop, Grace offers him one – this scene I can understand, because it leads to another one that was not in the book, and is just beautiful. It's a very small percent, like maybe 3% of the things I would love to see differently. Oh but something I absolutely love is Grace outfits and especially fox symboling. God, I love it so much. Overall, I think this is one of the best book adaptations I've seen anyway. It's a great movie, it's stunning, and made with love for filmmaking and it shows. I would 1000% recommend it to everyone, but I would also 1000% recommend to read a book if you think about it!

I. Love. Horror. Podcasts. This is so well-made. Of course, I'm even more biased towards this series, because it's Lovecraftian and King in Yellow, which are two of my favourite horror tropes. But it just is such a fun thing to listen too. I love the divorced-married duo, so much. (do not play any kind of drinking game to it, you will die) I had a few issues in the first season, but they were more because I was binge-listening to it. It has a solid ending. Obviously, it sets the scene for the next series, but even without it, it's quite good. However, has some plots that didn't end (but we have 2nd series for it, even if it's only 3 episodes for now). I also was a bit scared at first of how they're going to even describe anything (since I came from The Magnus Archives and there the situation was easy), but it turns out it's going great. Love the descriptions, iyky Anyway, finally listened to the last episode (not counting 2nd series), because I was putting it off for a while-

I absolutely adore this one. The way this book just combines being funny and serious, the need for all the scientific knowledge and explains it but not in a “speak English, please” way. We unravel the backstory and find a solution for the problem in such a great way, in a way that neither side of the story (the past and the present) give a “c'mon let's go back (to one of the time)” feeling. I like that we don't know certain things, not until the end or even at the end, it's a perfect example of first-person narration. The mix between the past and present tense narration is also very nicely done. Perfect way to showcase that you can mix those, just not REALLY together. I love how the book basically from the beginning shows us that the stakes are high and it sticks with it until the end. Just showing it in different ways – like some characters' various sacrifices or stuff like that. Little things mixed in a dialogue or small actions. Also, Grace's character is a very interesting one, because everything he does sticks to everything that people say about him and how he is perceived. He doesn't really go through some big character development. And he is, obviously, not just one layer character. I love all the small and not small... Plottwists? Some of them are not really plottwists, just the ways to play with the situation, but yes. And even the last 30 pages are just such a rollercoaster. Love it. The ending is very heartwarming in a way.

Alice in Wonderland meets World War II meets the concept of moving on

(forgot to add it before) Well that ending was a bit of a disappointment, wasn't it? But let's start from the start. From the start it's an interesting concept and good mystery. Characters are sketched out rather good and make you curious enough to want to see more of their adventures. The second to last episode was really a masterpiece, honestly. It got so close to I Have no Mouth, and I Must Screem (which is the inspiration for the show and in this episode became like an adaptation) that I got so excited. I really thought they will go into this direction and that would be beautiful. But, no. That didn't happen. I understand it was because the creator got mad at “fans” and decided that they won't make the original plan happen and they were just so done with this project and wanted to get it over. But that is just disappointing. It was not a bad ending. It was not a bad episode, however it felt stretched out in certain scenes and speed up in others, like so much was cut out but also so much was pointlessly going on and on. They expected for the viewer to care about a one episode character because of 5 scenes with them. Overall it's a fine ending, even if it takes away a lot from some characters and make some decisions a bit out of nowhere. It wasn't bad, it was fine. However, it leaves me wondering how amazing could it be if they sticked to the original plan.

Even though it's old (I love old), it still holds a great standard in my opinion. It's a good mystery, even though I knew something (mostly just that it's messed up and brutal), I didn't expect the arc thing. I love this kind of time-playing very much. I like that even if it's just a first season, it ends quite nicely. Sure, there are more mysteries to uncover, but a lot was explained in-between the lines.

Generally speaking it was a good read. I love the world building, I enjoy the main character. However, it felt like the author wanted to speed up things a lot. We're introduced to the concept of something and just like that we're supposed to care about it without more information. Alina sometimes jumps between being happy and sad with one line in-between and we can't really feel it. I feel like the author's writing fits better to 3rd pov than 1st. I had a bit of a hard time with the ending as well. Last few chapters (especially not like 3 last but before it) when nothing really happened but just a romantic relationship between characters weren't for me. Honestly, if I cared more about Alina's love interests it would probably be better, but somehow I just don't feel them. It came to me as a bit of a shock, because in Six of Crows I fell for all the ships immediately, but this is an older piece of the author, so.

Honestly, it's a good fanfiction. Very fun fan-game with variety of endings. Some of them are even quite difficult to find. There are some interesting takes and theories for the plot of NIMAH as well. Tho, the main thing is that it definitely scratches Pale Man x Protag itch 👌

Good movie. The plottwist wasn't ultra surprising or anything, but it was nice to watch. Hayden Christensen carry

It was enjoyable, but it felt like it didn't want to end. Just pointlessly going on and on and on. The ending was pretty nice.
