nothing can beats the beauty of thai classic movies. will add this to my 'comfort movie' list. i reaaally love how they section the movie into seasons in thai: summer, rain, winter and elaborate it to the music piece as the main part of the story. the blazing summer in the beginning, rain as the rising conflict, and winter as the midpoint. the season is a cycle as well, so it will get back to summer. (link it to how teacher rosy explain primavera, estate, autunno, inverno, tapi thailand kan gapunya 4 seasons ya, mereka mah adanya panas, hujan, sama pancaroba). menurutku sectioning ini juga gambarin hubungannya pom dan ortunya + pom dan aom. elemen musiknya hidup banget di dalam ceritanya, bukan sekedar 'oh ini cerita cinta segitiga 3 mahasiswa yang kebetulan kuliah jurusan musik', tapi 'ini cerita 3 mahasiswa musik mahidol'. karakter-karakter utamanya ditampilin 3d. konflik pribadinya pom soal perjalanannya bermusik dan untungnya punya mentor baik (pak jitaro), berusaha memahami musik klasik vs rock + orkestra vs band rock menarik sih buat ditonton. terus juga ceritanya aom dengan violin vs cymbal tapi malah jadi liat sisi lain dari pom karena mereka sebelahan pas orkestra dan jadi cara mereka ngembangin hubungannya. menurutku bagian romancenya klise dan subtle but it's called as classic for a reason and i love it!!! walau genrenya listed as romcom tapi menurutku ini lebih ke perjalanan pribadinya pom sih. pacenya natural, storytellingnya juga natural, romancenya tipis, comedynya lebih tipis lagi. aku suka banget midpointnya pom menyadari kalau semua orang dan alat musik di orkestra punya perannya masing-masing dan semuanya diperlukan. scene hujan-hujanan will always get me btw LUCU BANGET HAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH *krauk lantai* it's always beautiful to see a work created with so much care and love poured into it. you can feel how passionate the writer about music and it conveyed in a very sincere way. 100000000/10 🥹 p.s.: discovering this movie from sakarin. 📍 youtube ani-one asia 📁 12 episodes 🧚‍♀️ magical realism yang suka 'campfire cooking in another world', mungkin bakal suka ini! the only anime i watch ongoing this spring season and didn't disappoint. this is exactly what i'm looking for. light anime but still hold a good plot. awalnya emang kerasa mirip banget sama campfire cooking, tapi beda kok yang ini punya daya tariknya sendiri. apalagi buat yang suka magical realism dan budaya jepang di sini dibahas cukup banyak, mulai dari makanan sampai dewa-dewinya. aku suka endingnya, bukan tipe konflik akhir yang dibikin berbelit sampe klimaks dan true endingnya cuma 5 menit, tapi mengalir aja santai ada waktu cool down nya. betul-betul anime buat nyantai aja.

this is my second uketsu's book. as i read the first chapter, i thought this will only follow the same pattern as strange houses. my brain frizzled as i realized the second chapter related to the first one, and i'm shook as i finish this book. this is even better than strange houses. to put that lore is really a crazy work, and the way to brings up 'motherly instinct' is totally make the character more 'human' yet eerier in the end. p.s.: the english translation is easy to digest! if you want to start reading english books, you can start with this one.
