The Giver
책
The story was really good but the ending wasn’t that clear. It made me appreciate the pain we feel and mistakes we make fir it’s what makes us human. The message that ressonates with me the most is how important family is. It helped me appreciate my family and the experiences i’ve shared with them. I like the story being in a dystopian setting disguised as a perfect place. The story is really nice. I wanted to know more about the giver but overall… very nice story. I just don’t get the ending,

It’s been a while since I watched n2n but I’ve watched it twice and the songs are really good. I like how it talks about mental health and how the lines are distributed. I especially like how two characters would sing the same lyrics at the same time and have two different meanings with the same lyrics

I don’t know how many time I have re-read this book. Every time I read it, I learn a new lesson. It’s one of my most favorite stories. I like the drawings too! Reading this reminds me to enjoy life and not rush growing up. Don’t be so focused in finishing the trip you forget to enjoy the tour.

And when I tell you I hated this book… at first. I REALLY hated it and decided to drop it. I hated it so much, I told my friend, my dad, brother, and cousin that I hated it and why I hated it. While i was ranting to a friend about how mad I was at the main character, he mentioned that he finds the book interesting so I decided to try and read it again and finish it this time. I have no regrets reading this book. I sobbed really hard. The worst part is, I finished reading it on Mother’s day and it made me sob 10x harder. I was shaking and my face was drenched in tears. I had to process everything after reading and the story is unforgettable.

I really like this series. It circles around two brothers who are lost in the woods. Their journey in order to get home is super cozy to watch and i’ve re-watched this show multiple times already. It never gets old and I would definitely re-watch it more in the future

i would rate it a 10 out of 10 show. It’s my most favorite show out of all time! Adventure Time is so poetic in its own way. Not going to lie, but I could say that watching this show is the reason why I am who I am. It gave me so much realizations and opened my eyes to view the world in a lovely and magical way. I love the character development of the characters. Especially Finn, Marceline, and Flame Princess. The show is weird in a memorable amd lovely way that I appreciate so much. I have seen shows similiar to Adventure Time but it will never give me the feeling and teach me the lessons Adventure Time taught me. It feels weird to say all of this over a cartoon but this show taught me lessons only a dog that could shapeshift could teach. The way I learned the lessons taught by this show wasn’t with how direct they tell you but how one scene could make you relate to it in a million ways, answer questions you ask yourself, express the emotions you feel but don’t have the words to describe, not only does it make you laugh but it makes you reflect on who you are. The lore of the show is spectacular and no matter how obscure and how silly this show is, it helped me grow, bloom, and love the journey and adventures I face along the way. It comes along with me with the butterflies and bees. 🐝

Love, love, love the songs. The songs are super duper catchy and the choreographies are so entertaining and satisfying to watch. I know it’s based off of a movie so I’m not going to dive in deep to that but I’m not really a big fan of how a lot of characters are cheating on their partners. The songs literally never get old. I find myself relating to some of the songs if you… change the context…

I’m thinking of re-reading this book since I kind of skimmed half of it. It’s really short; the verion I read has 12 pages. I like the ending. I was going through a phase where I had to read fast and that’s what made me not understand the story that much but while reading it I found myself enjoying the story and I want to read it again to be able to understand its message on a deeper level. I was able to understand the story and I know there’s a deeper meaning behind the tragic dystopian setting. I just need to read it again so I could collect my thoughts and truly understand what the story is about.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I like it. I find it easy to read and relaxing. Although it has some sad themes it’s a book I would read when I want something chill but would still teavh me a lesson that I could use in the long run.

Morosophist it is derived from the words moron and sophist. moron meaning fool, and sophist meaning excellence. when a person is excellent in being foolish. a person who is deluded in the thought of wanting to be seen or perceived as a person of intelligence but fails to do so, given the thought that its only for show. i personally use this word to remind myself that not knowing something or being clueless isnt embarrassing. i noticed that i tend to get embarrassed by saying the phrase "i dont know" when i dont know! its not something to be ashamed of, and its not something to shame people for. we as humans learn something new constantly and i have to keep reminding myself that i dont know everything and when someone is not aware or acquainted to a topic im deeply conversant in, i have to keep in mind that we are all little flowers that grow and are bound to attain more and more knowledge as time goes by, and that some information gets to others before ourselves (or vise versa). there are times i feel the need to pretend that i know of something because of the fear of being insinuated as someone stupid. or just wanting to seem smart. but the lesson of todays story is that theres no need to be a morosophist or to pretend to be smart since at the end of the day, in a world where knowledge is deemed to be power, curiosity is what causes knowledge to prosper.

smth i noticed with my music taste is that its really similar to my dad’s music taste. im currently going through a phase where i listen to old songs except i listen to the glee cover. earlier in the car, i was playing music and suddenly my dad started asking me to play the original version then compare it tothe glee version. i just find it funny because yes me and my dad like the same song… i just listen to the glee version

“ A person who works with their hands is a laborer, a person who works with their hands and their brain is a craftsman, and a person who works with their hands, their brain, and their heart is an artist” -Marco Pierre White I remmeber seeing a video called “the art of noticing” and it talks about making or doing art in order to express yourself or to enhance the beauty of what you find amusing. i dont consider myself an artist but i love drawing and creating stuff. i think my creations are fairly decent and good but i noticed that i started improving when i started making art in order to express myself. i used to draw and make stuff in order to impress people and it made me feel stuck and think that i dont improve. no matter how many “how to draw for beginners” or “how to color like a pro” videos i watched, nothing seemed to change. i notice that i only started improving the moment i stopped caring of what people thought of my art. the moment i started doing it because it helped me express the kind of person i am. growing up, i had a really artsy and crafty mom. we used to craft together. she would be building something out of old stuff we have that people would probably consider as junk while id be sitting across or beside her drawing. i remember staying up late with her and my brother making paper boats and drawing paper dolls that resemble us. i always thought of crafting as something fun and something i enjoy and love doing. i dont remember exactly what moment made me want to make art to impress people and it was a phase that lead me to give up crafting and drawing entirely. thinking im not good enough or losimg the energy and passion to create new things because someone out there is better than me and i had a weird mindset of wanting to be the best at something by knowimg others arent as good as me. that kind of mindset made me give up making art. i stopped drawing, i stopped crafting, and i started thinking that i suck at these kinds of stuff. it was only pretty recent where i found out that im actually good at this! i remember hearing someone quote something from a book. i domt entirely remmeber the exact words but its from an art book. the author of the book tells the readers that if they make art in order to capture life and for it to be a way or form of slef expression, they are sure to improve. but if the person only wants to learn art in order to impress people, then there is nothing he can do about it.

I find myself relating to her a lot and seeing myself in her. While watching Adventure Time, I noticed her growth and character development. I noticed that in the later parts of the series where she starts to be more calm and be able to control her emotions more, I realized that it’s a part of growth and being human. You live and you learn. Making mistakes isn’t the only way to learn. Sometimes, you just get spontaneous realizations that help you become a better person. Feel better about yourself and be able to let go of the past and forgive yourself and forgive others too. Flame princess never ended up with a romantic partner. She dated Finn for a while but it didn’t work out. At first, when she and Cinnamon Bun started hanging out a lot, I thought they were going to end up dating or become a couple. They didn’t. They became a team. I appreciate Adventure Time for showing me and making me realize that not every partner has to be your spouse, not every soulmate is your significant other, and not every person that you click with is a sweetheart. The story of Flame princess was able to show me and help me realize that life isn’t about earning people, it’s about finding the right ones you connect with. Finding the people that help you grow and spread your wings. The bees in the garden that help your flowers pollinate At first, I thought Flame princess only had one purpose in the show. Which is to be Finn’s girlfriend. I love how adventure time made it clear that even if Flame princess didn’t have a lot of screentime, being Finn’s girlfriend isn’t the reason why she’s in the show. She has a lot about her that the show doesn’t show on screen but they do imply. I have a rant that I typed out when i just watched the show and im gonna include in this post. its the paragraphs bellow this paragraph Flame Princess I relate to her so much. The first time I saw her, I remember being happy that I could relate to a character. I mostly see myself in her. I saw myself in Flame Princess because I noticed her outbursts and how she can’t control her emotions. I think I’m the same. I can’t really control my emotions well either. When I saw her character development in the series, I don’t remember if it was what hit me or motivated me to do better, or if I just saw myself being like that and felt safe or at least felt more “normal.” I don’t know how to put it into words, but knowing that I’m not the only one who feels like my emotions are controlling me more than I’m controlling them, that’s when I realized I’m not… weird? I don’t want to say different because that sounds freaky. It’s more like… seeing Flame Princess’ character gave me comfort and a sense of belonging. I’m not the best at sharing how I feel or how my mind works, but Flame Princess was able to portray it neatly. I guess it’s not the most accurate description, but it was what gave me comfort and made me feel that there’s still room for growth. I’ve always thought that everyone grows emotionally at some point, and to be honest, it’s one of my goals to be the best version of myself. I think out of all the characters in Adventure Time, Flame Princess is the one who got the best character development, and that’s what I like most about her. The way I see her is that she doesn’t always know what she does wrong, but when she realizes it, or when someone tells her, she tries her best to do better next time. She wants to get rid of her bad habits and become the best version of herself. When she and Cinnamon Bun became besties, I was so happy because not only did she gain an actual best friend, she also had someone to grow with. A soulmate? She isn’t the type of person to think that she needs to be in a romantic setup to feel complete. She didn’t need a soulmate. She had herself, her heart, and her compassion. Cinnamon Bun appearing in her life was one of the best things that happened in the series when Flame Princess was on screen. You can see how gentle she is, and you can see how much she loves Cinnamon Bun. There’s no chemistry, there’s no attraction just pure connection and the desire to grow together emotionally. That’s why I relate to her so much. There’s no need to rush things, but there is a need to improve things. Things take time and effort. They don’t just appear like that. Sometimes, you just have to work on it and wait.
