hahahaha! finally got to finish this! 😭😭😭 I am really slow at watching series. but I really loved this one. it seems like a good adaptation of the source material and I really loved the cast. I had a few nitpicks like how they styled the characters and Kuwabara's sword not being it's warm hue but it's okay. I also had no qualms about the action scenes here because they were apparently choreographed by the same person who did the fight scenes in the Rurouni Kenshin live action movies and I already watched those before so I was assured that it was gonna be quality. hehehe! I really loved the ending and I was kicking my feet up with the Yukine and Kuwabara scenes. 😂

This film really surprised me. I came here because I wanted to get an idea for a story idea I had and the whole "you lied to me, you poisoned me, you told me you love me, I do" line really got me into a huge deep emotion I can't name but isa sign I should be writing it down. Also Mia Wasikowska was in the film and I love her. What I didn't expect was falling for Tom Hiddleston. 😅😂😭 Darn it, I fell in love. 😅😂 But also, this was such a beautiful film. The story is terrifying but great! It got me at the edge of my seat. It was all I could think about. And it's funny how it terrifies me but I can't look away. I hate horror movies but this one... scratches the itch of mine that ghosts exists because they have a reason to be there either as an omen, to visit, to guard, or to deliver a message. I also love the costume and I remember thinking throughout the film that it's so clever because not only is it visually stunning but the pictures alone of the set and the costumes also tells a story and it was making an overload in my brain because you can literally analyze it and it was like a sugar high for me who is an English major. Lol. I really love this film now. I love you so much.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

I watched this with Ahia Don. This is actually the first time I watched it in all it's entirety. It was so fun! Even if I knew what was going to happen, it was still so fun! I love the textures. Gosh, I miss seeing textures and lighting in movies. It's also fun to see the stuff I've read about actually on screen. Like Legolas not sinking in the snow. The fact that I could still freaking remember Celeborn's name. Also it's so nice to see this on the big screen! I'm also really happy to see Figwit. Lol. I was so sad about Boromir. But at the same time, that fight scene made me realize why a lot of women are in love with Aragorn. Lol. I get it now. I also forgot most of the things I read in the books but I love the quotes and I do remember typing them back in my phone in 2018. This got me inspired to pick up the series again actually. Maybe I might. Maybe I'll finish it too. Who knows. 🤷 A part of me misses Ahia Raymond. I wonder if he'd even come and watch this. I kinda wish they would do this for 'Two Towers' and 'Return of the King' too.

I watched it with Regina at the new and renovated SM City Naga cinema. The cinema was great and the movie was amazing! I really loved the animation and the sound. The story was also really interesting and I loved how they expanded the world and the lore of the place. I really liked Gary and throughout the film, I really could hear Ke Huy Quan and I was so stoked when we saw the credits and I was right! I the stallion was also sounding so much like Kronk! He also made me think of Fabio. Lol. I was also joking that Rango was gonna be there when I saw that plumed basilisk. Lol. I really loved that speakeasy scene. I wish to get into one or make one one day. I will always love Mr. Big's scenes because I has a Godfather phase. Lol. That one jail scene with the fox saying 'butthead' made me think of 'Back to the Future' and I was so surprised to see freaking Michael J. Fox on the cast list as that fox. 😭 I had a phase of that too! Looking through the cast list now, I'm surprised that Macaulay Culkin was even listed there??? And I am freaking out that Jean Reno was there too??? Hello??? Anyway, it was a really fun movie. I want to have a Gary stuff toy.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

I watched this with Ahia Don and Kendrick... [...] I love this film because it made me realize a part of myself when Eowyn says she's afraid of a cage. Like, girl, me too. I got to finally see the scene where Viggo broke his toe and the Legolas meme. 😂 I'm really happy to finally meet Faramir because I heard about him a lot and he is familiar to my eyes but I've never been familiar with his character and now he's one of my blorbos. Along with Eowyn. And also maybe Pippin. 😂 I'm also glad to see the Ent scene. It really made me wanna cry. I'm not great with gardening but I grew up around plants and trees so... yeah, I love them. Also the scene of where Frodo and Sam were with Faramir really drives home the fact that Tolkien wrote the story based on his experiences during the First World War because that scene makes me think of how trench warfare is said to be? Or maybe I'm reading too much into it because I've been reading 'All Quiet on the Western Front'. Gollum is such an interesting character despite being disgusting? Like... geez, I'm a horrible person but he is what we are when we take certain things to the extreme and into obsession... [...]

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

Interesting plot though I feel like it's a bit messy. I do love a good mystery though. How it deals with faith is... interesting. It felt pretty culty and it has media's view on faith and the church though I think they have Father Jud's character to be really solid and I really like him and rooted for him to actually be innocent throughout the case. I don't think the cast of characters were as active as the other two movies but I think they were still interesting. I liked Beniot's hairstyle here and I was a bit sad to find out that he isn't a Christian though I can think of why that was their decision. I liked how they played with the lights in this movie because it's almost as if it's the presence of God also leading them to where it's supposed to be. Like how Beniot has his road of Damascus moment be filled with light and the scene turning cold when he goes to actually do it or how when Father Jud has that moment of feeling like a priest again, sunlight shines through the windows and frames him in there. This is unlike how Monsignor Wicks mostly have artificial light shined on him but never really goes to engulf the room. I don't think this is the best movie Rian Johnson has for this series but I have a feeling it's gonna cause a fuss one way or another considering it's subject matter being the church. But I think it's still a good mystery and it also made me think of other stories I know of to be in the mystery genre but with priests, nuns, or people of faith being involved in trying to solve them.
